Dumbo offers noo good views, especially now. And i've noticed that the controls don't work too well in the new location. If I go on a spinner, my first choice would be Astro Orbiter as it offers the best views. Unfortunately, it always has a long line.

^When I first saw the povs of the new location, my first thought was how half of the experience is just looking at the tent. And how boring that made.......a spinner.

The thing Disney forgot to realize was half the popularity and half the reason to ride Dumbo was it's location; placed right in the middle of Fantasyland everyone could see it and those riding could see everything.

Disney Parks Blog also posted a look at the various meet and greet opportunities inside Pete's Silly Sideshow.

First Look: Peek Inside Pete’s Silly Sideshow at Magic Kingdom Park

Happy Thursday! We’re happy to have a new look inside a New Fantasyland attraction – Pete’s Silly Sideshow – to share with you today.

At Pete’s Silly Sideshow, the custom-designed character greeting location created exclusively for Storybook Circus, you are invited to choose a path to meet either Donald Duck and Goofy or Minnie Mouse and Daisy, each playing their own unique role at the circus. Donald is The Astounding Donaldo, the most charming of snake charmers. Goofy, of course, is The Great Goofini, circus stuntman extraordinaire. Daisy Duck plays the part of Madame Daisy Fortuna, a mysterious gypsy fortuneteller, and Minnie Mouse is the “Siren of the Seine,” that Parisian poodle trainer Minnie Magnifique. Detailed props and settings help reinforce each of their stories and fully immerse you in the world of the circus sideshow.

What do you think? Will you visit soon?

I'll admit, the new Dumbo looks nice. But just think for a minute how much that entire structure and the new dumbo had to have cost. The likely could have built a fairly nice Dumbo dark ride. Then think about the coin they dropped on the shop, M&G and useless third tent (and water play area) and they almost certainly could have built the Mickey's Mad House ride.

Storybook Circus looks pretty, but the money was allocated very poorly.

^TDO is acting like they're under the direction of someone with the mental capacity of Honey Boo Boo.

Yep, it's pretty sad. They're doing things that are either specifically aimed for kids, or that are specifically just profit based. I don't think they realize that maybe if they did a few things different rather than just adding a second dumbo and maybe adding a second ride instead of just retheming everything on the left side, they would get lot more people actually interested in the project and people actually looking forward to those things. I get they need to make money on things, but a gift shop and a M&G shouldn't be two of the main things in a land.

You hit the nail on the head. I don't understand some Disney defenders when they're preaching about the greatness of practically everything WDW comes out with that is more geared toward their offspring than themselves.

I can understand some people if it's their first time going and their kid had a great time (which in turn they likely had a great time too, seeing their kid have fun), etc, etc...but people who've been many times should know better.

I hate having to say these types of things about Disney too. Disney was how I really got initiated into theme parks (and i'm sure that's the way it is for many others). But the way the philosophy they are using right now is completely messed up. Hopefully the management changes that are supposedly coming will get them back on track.

And for those wondering, supposedly MK VP Phil Holmes will be replaced by Dan Cockerell, Jim Macphee will be taking over as president of WDW (formerly Weiss' position) and Meg Crofton is leaving soon.

Yeah. I think it's more health related than anything, there's been rumblings for awhile. Not wishing ill on her, but I won't complain about her leaving either. Spirit didn't say who would be replacing her, just mention it would be "another familiar face".

ok, LOOK. i've been going to Disney for years, and don't get me wrong they've added things i don't agree with 100%, and granted i think some of things being added here, like PFH and the new FP system, are either stupid or unnecessary, but seriously. enough with the negativity. if you don't like what they're doing then obviously the expansion isn't being made to appeal to you. news flash: there are people who sincerely, truthfully, honestly want to go because they find the project itself is interesting and cool. they're doing what IOA did with WWOHP, they're making an area based on the detail, atmosphere, and experience rather than basin it all on ride after ride after ride. frankly it's a boring theme park if there was nothing but attractions and no room to breath and relax and take in the finer details.

that and you're all complaining that there aren't any exciting rides. it's a Fantasyland expansion, the excitement they're aiming for comes from the kids under age 10. the area is not for adults or teens, so seriously, before you start critiquing actually consider the logic behind their reasoning.

on to the whole Storybook Circus thing: again. stop. complaining. yeah, Dumbo's moved to an inconvenient location and become super-doubled sized. move on to a better topic already, it's getting old. it's also the kiddiest part of the new Fantasyland you really shouldn't be surprised at how little emphasis on rides they're putting. it happens a lot, even in non-Disney parks. SC was about the theming, so please stop it.

New Fantasyland hasn't even started previewing yet and you're all already complaining, like calm down and get used to change please.

You're missing the point, people aren't upset about New Fantasy Land, they're upset about what it says about TDO.

Putting all this money to clone a ride from California, and add nothing new until Universal will have an entire new land open is pretty disappointing. Disney used to innovate, and bring new attractions with the newest technologies. Now they're resting on their laurels and are more interested in living off the Disney name rather than actually living up to it.

Nope not quite a correct comparison- IOA brought innovation as well as detail, atmosphere, and a experience along with a E-ticket ride and a total immersion that all ages can enjoy.

I am a true Disney fanboi and I do like the new area but this is a total let down it isn't anything close to what most want, believe or expect to come out of Disney. I have always looked forward to the new and innovating things Disney has brought to the table in the past almost flaunting it "Look see what we have done you must come to Disney and experience it" ie: soaring., test track and ,crush turtle talk - now it seems the just recycle the old rides with a new name ie: laugh floor, nemo and little mermaid.
I am dismayed to say Disney has of late had better luck selling their old refurbished rides - pooh, BTMRR , Haunted mansion and the maybe the new test track

So it's not that everyone is bashing Disney for building a expansion area it is nice and everyone can appreciate it for what it is but it's just, well to put it simply
" Where's the beef "
