So, more theories from me posted over on Parkscope:

Parkscope: Fast and Furious Orlando: A (Possibly) Crazy Guess as to What's Coming

If you're TL;DR, the creative director for Project 620 (believed to be F&F) was also the director of Ride and Show for the Moscow project, which included a Fast and Furious racing attraction. That's my bet on what we're getting, or at the very least something similar.

Good article. It would make sense for a previous incarnation of the attraction which never got off the drawing board to come over here where the space and opportunity exists. Disney and Universal do seem to like reworking and bringing back old ideas in new projects so fingers crossed.

The idea in your previous post is pretty much exactly what I'm hoping for, Skip. I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much because at this point my instinct is telling me we won't quite get that.

From Theme Park Insider-

Kong looks realistic because we're watching characters we know only as CGI creations, fighting in a dimly lit jungle setting. But a CGI version of the familiar real-life stars and cars of Fast & Furious, in bright daylight, takes us a step toward video game territory, visually. A darker, nighttime setting might have hidden some of CGI's limitations in creating more convincingly realistic imagery.

Agreed with this. It seems to me (and someone can correct me if they think I'm wrong), that outside daytime scenes are VERY difficult to come across convincingly in a theme park attraction, hence why a vast majority of attractions are designed to show as night time, dusk, indoors, etc.

Has the Moscow project been shut down due to everything we are aware of? I didn't know it had ceased.

This went over my head, but I could very well be mistaken about Moscow. Just going off the construction updates it looks like work stalled a long time ago, though that is also going off a post from over a year ago.

I would think the political situation is a bit of a problem. Not much foreign investment going on over there.

I believe that the Dreamworks project took over the Universal project from the main firm.

Yeah, and I fear the majority on here never saw the Wendy's Hamburger commercials here in the US back in the 80's... or the snooping into their 1940's circa grocery stores by journalists showing one piece of meat in the meat case.

That was my laughter JS.

From Inside Universal on twitter regarding Hollywood...

"Universal Studios Hollywood's parking is now at capacity. Signs are now telling potential guests to come back tomorrow!"

and a retweeted reply:

"Love it or hate it... people really want to see Supercharged."

I can only imagine how furious the guests who got turned away are (and those who wait a long time for this!)

Oh boy. They do have a huge parking/capacity issue. When HP opens, this is going to be an effing nightmare.

They're building a new parking garage. I would guess they plan for it to open in conjunction with Potter.

Isn't there a major garage still under construction? Seth described a nightmare on a normal day there lately, that it is all very confusing with all of the entrance construction going on.

^ LOL Mad Dog!

We think the same thought at the same time so often, it's starting to get scary. It's either telepathy or we're both second cousins of ET.

Yes, yes, I know about the parking garage . It will help with parking, but not with capacity and the nightmare that is getting to the parking structure. You're in the middle of a busy metropolitan city on the side of a hill next to the freeway. This place gets backed up during HHN. Getting up that hill is going to be a nightmare for Potter.

Not to mention that the parking garage does nothing to alleviate the congestion of this tiny park. HP runs smack dab through the middle of this park. To get to JP, Transformers, the Tram Tour, and pretty much every other ride except DM, you have to walk right past the entrance to Hogsmeade.

The thing I hate about California parks: 75% of the people in them are from SoCal. And they never stop going.
