With three sides built it looks like this is not part of the ride. Put a facade on it and it makes a good gift shop or viewing area.

It's a problem with most screen based rides. Simpsons, DM, Spidey, TF, Soarin, etc.I hope the cars are enclosed on the top..One huuuge flaw with Kong is that you can see the edges of the screen
Yeah. I don't go out of my way to look for stuff like that while on a ride. That way I enjoy it to the max....I'm usually too busy having a load of fun, to critique....Honestly, if i wasn't on these boards, I'd never know or notice that kind of stuff. It's a problem with most screen based rides. imo, Soarin' is the most noticeable (depending on where you end up sitting). I can't help but notice it every ride.Yeah. I don't go out of my way to look for stuff like that while on a ride. I only see the screen top on Spiderman in the final air scene, and it's brief...Kong is a bit of an issue IMO as it's a bit glaringIt's a problem with most screen based rides. Simpsons, DM, Spidey, TF, Soarin, etc.
That'll be the least of this rides problems. At least Kong is still a great ride other than this flaw.I hope the cars are enclosed on the top..One huuuge flaw with Kong is that you can see the edges of the screen
Me too. Bugs the crap out of me. That and people's feet above you.imo, Soarin' is the most noticeable (depending on where you end up sitting). I can't help but notice it every ride.
Really it's the same as Soarin'. You're screwed if you're on the side. Is there anyway they could've extended extended the roofs a bit to help cover it?I only see the screen top on Spiderman in the final air scene, and it's brief...Kong is a bit of an issue IMO as it's a bit glaring
Simpsons can be a really bad experience too if you end up on the second level of simulators and off to one of the sides. You almost have to turn your head to look at the screen in some of those spots. That'll be the least of this rides problems. At least Kong is still a great ride other than this flaw.

I don't think that's ever happened to me. Good to know.Simpsons can be a really bad experience too if you end up on the second level of simulators and off to one of the sides. You almost have to turn your head to look at the screen in some of those spots.

Pure ride immersion.Uhh I'm just trying hard to NOT puke, so I never notice these things.

Same here.I think it would have required more projection...which would have meant more screen and video servers...So it was probably a money issue...I personally would have rather them incorporate some flaps on the sides of the cars to obstruct it...Merely a nit pick though as I thoroughly enjoy Kong
This thing is going to fill a huge gap between London and NY!
One of the few high-points i'm seeing so far out of this attraction. It'll at least help spread crowds out a bit more.In a sense, I expect Supercharged to have just as much capacity as Kong in a strange way..

That's not setting the bar real high...I agree.
Like it or not, Supercharged is going to get a lot more foot traffic in that area, much more than when Disaster and Beetlejuice layed there. It's an insanely popular franchise, that has grown very much within several markets. In my opinion; while it may not be the best thing on property, I wouldn't be a damned bit shocked that it's a bit more well visited than Disaster.

Transformers is still a great attraction despite its similarities to Spider-Man though so not that good of a comparisonAnd I get that, but let me put it at this.
It may not have the best story, and it may be the Transformers situation all over again; but there are far better projects in the horizon that the fans will be happy about. This attraction, is not for the fans. It's for the General Public; and that is what they're going to be reaching for, because F&F is a huge IP for Universal.
It will probably make the fans angry, because it took away Disaster and Beetlejuice, but considering all the rumors of SLoP and Nintendo; those projects should be things that fans look forward too a lot more than this. And while I did find Supercharged at USH to be tolerable; I think you guys (and Beijing) will be getting the much better experience overall. So yes, while I am hopeful on Supercharged being better for you guys; I think we are looking at the wrong projects to be excited about for the next few years.
