Great part for some people is that B&M is making the new coaster. Wish it was Vekoma but im fine with it.So glad Dragon Challenge went down for a real Potter coaster. ‘‘Twas a good death.

Yeah this kind of disappoints me since it appears the ride will be more "Thirteen" in terms of thrill level than Cheetah Hunt as it's using the official "family" track from Intamin. :-(Idk if it was just me or not but why did I think the banked and faster track portion of the ride would look like this.

Idk I thought it would go from slow flat track, then after the launch to the thicker track like an LSM launch.
I was hoping for the same thing. Didn’t want it to look like 13 or wave breaker. Cheetah hunt and Taron were more my preference but what can you do...Yeah this kind of disappoints me since it appears the ride will be more "Thirteen" in terms of thrill level than Cheetah Hunt as it's using the official "family" track from Intamin. :-(
I imagine this will be like a hybrid of Taron's theming, Verbolten's drop track, and Jet Rescue's trains, and Grisly Run's trick track....With a little bit of Universal magic thrown in thereI was hoping for the same thing. The tall spike will be enclosed in a building, so I wonder if walls are starting to go up.Something that I spotted on Rockit (which kinda showed up in one of the pictures) is that they put up a wall behind the spike supports.

Definitely has some similarities to Intamin coasters, so I can see why people would mistake it.Just to clarify, Verbolten is not an Intamin. It is a blast, though.

Agreed. I cannot get enough of the parts around the waterfalls, close to the ground on that ride. It’s my happy place. The look of the track is inconsequential. Something to think about: Some of Cheetah Hunt's best parts are on the 2-bar style of track.
Yay I’m excited again. 2 bar is nice but 3 bar looks more photogenic and complex. Makes the coaster look more serious. :clap:This ride will have both 2-bar, and 3-bar track sections.
Count on it.

It's gonna be fun. Can't wait for Bio's next flyover.
If I had to take a guess, I’d say the standard 16.4 foot Intamin drop track. The majority of the coaster looks to be 2-bar, but the section after the 2nd(?) launch, and the finale after the drop track will definitely beefed up.
The thing I've been wondering is how tall the drop track will be.
Anyone think Universal has any interest in breaking the record for tallest drop track?
I bet we get an announcement in mid to late June. Along with more info on the nighttime show at USF.
This isn’t really claiming more area though. This area has been Potter since 2010.
Interesting that Disney & Universal are utilizing themed coasters so often in their new plan attractions. Add Hong Kong Frozen to the mix of Potter, Slinky, Tron, Guardians, and probably JP.
