I wouldn't get my hopes up. It certainly could happen, but Universal likes to announce things only when they feel it's necessary. They aren't going to announce something just because it's a Potter event. They'll announce when they feel it's time.

I'd take that bet that they will announce something. F&F is moving forward at lightning pace and once it's open, there is very little official information about what's coming.

The timing just seems too perfect.

Instead of info on the FF coaster, if they drop something during the COHP, I would think a vague MoM announcement.

They usually focus CoHP on the lore and movies/actors. The parks are just the background for the event

Universal's MO lately seems to be to send announcements whenever Disney is sending out announcements.

If that pattern continues, I would think that the next piece of Potter news will come when the next piece of SWL or Guardians news hits.

Starting to feel they won't expand the pedestrian areas of Hogsmeade.

Large plot of land then for this coaster. Better be like 4+ minutes long.

If this reuses the DC queue, and doesn't expand Hogsmeade at all, and doesn't include a new permanent nighttime show viewing area... then yeesh. What a waste of a huge plot. It'd be a great opportunity to upgrade Hogsmeade to be on par with Diagon from both a theme and (especially) ops perspective, so if they blow it, it'll be very disappointing.
