Can we please also get a Venkman covered slime jumpscare saying "He slimed", and slimer coming out scaring you too? God these ideas are so amazing it makes really hope Ghostbusters is true. And yes, what if this is the heavy effects maze Murdy was talking about?

EDIT: What would the facade be? Library? Sidgeweck Hotel? Or the fire station? And the queue theme is WITHOUT a doubt the original theme.

while i'll LOVE for the fire station to be the facade, i think it'll be the library as the facade since most movie mazes are done chronologically. so it'll be weird if you enter into the fire station, then for some reason you'll in the library.

Fire station as an indoor facade?

Side note: will Ghostbusters be the first comedy house we're all actually excited for?

I mean I'd argue Ghostbusters is like 90% comedy 10% horror, as opposed to Krampus which was like 70% horror 30% comedy

Haha thanks man. I love this movie so much that I would love to see a maze for this. I have so many ideas for scenes and how this maze can work.

Oh man, Krampus was a GOAT, but I still didn't feel the comedy in that one compared to something like This is the End or even Ash vs Evil Dead (one of my favorite parts of that maze was Ash quipping and dueling with the children in the cabin).

One more thing: crazy idea but...Shutter Island for the 50s maze?

It’s one thing if you know someone who is a “reliable source” lets you give out hints or post it on here (which if such a person did allow that, I feel that would be terribly unwise in the case of HHN). If a person who works in the industry gives you the privilege of the inside scoop, and trusts you with that information, I think posting about it is grossly inconsiderate of your source.

If you want to risk losing friendships and access to inside information to be known as “the guy with the sources”, is it worth it? When it comes to HHN, I have heard of people who were effected by the leaks the past couple of years and dealing with that is no fun. I know Uni is extremely strict on leaks right now and have an axe ready for anybody who they even think is a potential leaker. Again, assuming this previously mentioned rumor is true, please think about the people around you that might be effected.

Look I understand we’re fans. We want to speculate and discuss rumors. But if someone were to give me all the info on HHN or theme parks (Not that anyone has to me), I would keep it on the DL. I would want the person to trust me to give me the inside scoop. Uni scrutinizes these forums and I wouldn't want to burn bridges.

*cough*

There’s a fine line. As “a guy with sources,” I know I toe a line. I also know Universal watches me, with what I hope is entertained bemusement. The hints, clues, and info I share come from leaks that can ruin careers. We, I AND my sources, know this.

That said, I also try to (and I guess do a good job of) providing just enough info in a muddy enough context where whatever I say (publicly) isn’t obvious until after the fact. That’s the trick.

Universal looks for the straight line of information to leaker to source. That’s REALLY easy to follow if you’re not careful. It also becomes easier the more information starts coming from a single “leaker.” That’s what I’m starting to see a lot of this year. It’s not good. And you’re right, Universal is going to come hard after people.

Just thought of something, does Orlando still have some of the old ghostbuster puppets from the ghostbusters show? If they do, you think they would reuse some of them?

I’m really hoping we don’t see anything to do with Ghostbusters. GB just isn’t scary. Yes ik there is a comedy house usually but those usually have some scary aspects. Also the movie is PG and was focused on kids, I just don’t think it’s HHN worthy.

If they go into the ghost dimension with Zuul it could get pretty scary. Poltergeist last year was a PG movie but they ended up making it pretty scary

They're likely destroyed.

It has been over 20 years, after-all since the Orlando show shuttered.

Poltergeist broke that stance of PG films at HHN.

I honestly, think that Ghostbusters is a sham; and it's not happening. Would be interested to be proven wrong,

Idk about you man, but all I can say is that these two scenes show that Ghostbusters can work as a maze even scare-wize.

Wellllll... it was only PG because PG-13 hadn’t been put in place yet.

Wandering scareactors.

Choreographed scenes beyond the opening scareamony, like at Orlando (IE if there's an Us scarezone, then the Tethered scareactors could occasionally do a hands-across-america chain through the scarezone.

Those Trick R Treat ghost things redone as Us Tethered totems.

Strobes? Projections? More food options?
