Ummmm, here's one idea no one has pointed out, why not install a 3rd Sprung tent? :look:

In all honesty there are WAAAY too many restrictions in IOA when it comes to Suess and Potter, making the event a small shell of what its suppossed to be, and with the pathways being narrower more of a headache.

The only difference is Jaws is closed now, no one barely rode it at night anyways, so all they need is another venue to host another house cause the area by the theater would be headache from Bill and Ted no matter what, actually LESS now since there won't be a house line right next to it, so crowds would disperse much more evenly.

SS44 could be brought up to code fairly quickly, or just install another sprung tent, there is a lot space back there for another one, so I don't think it would be much of a big deal in all honesty.

Even if they still do a house at the old extended queue structure location they can make do because there will be no queing for a ride or exiting from a ride with Jaws no longer in the picture.

I don't think Jaws' extended queue, or anything from Amity, will still be standing in September. It wouldn't make sense to demo everything but that. It would create delays and extra costs to keep one structure standing there for 7-9 months and then have to come back later on to demo it, clean up, etc. It would hinder the overall construction process, in my opinion.

Supposing they keep HHN 22 at the Studios only... If they brought SS44 up to code, great! But I don't think another sprung tent in that back corner is a good idea. I think one of the ways that the Jaws queue house helped the event was actually dispersing the crowds a bit more, and filling in a hole in the middle of the event's layout. It was one of the houses that was in the middle of the park, along with Disaster queue. Otherwise, you'd have soundtages in the front, and then sprung tents and parade building on the other side of the park. Which, by the way, didn't we hear the parade building was gonna be gone too? I don't remember where I got that, but I'm certain I read something about the parade building. Anybody remember?

I haven't read through the thread, but has anyone mentioned this, but do you guys think the long alley of construction walls in Amity could make a killer scarezone?

That's an interesting thought. They really could do anything in that area. Paint it, stick things on it, since those are not permanent structures there... Hmm... That'd definitely be an interesting place for a SZ.

I was going to say that would be terribly narrow and claustrophobic, but considering they did just that on purpose last year with Dark Maze and Canyon of Lost Souls . . .

Exactly! The tight space adds an intimidation factor, and arguably better for scareactors to hide too, if there are props. The open scarezones where you see scareactors coming have not been my favorite.

They could also utilize drop doors and fake walls.

Yeah, if they use it, they really need to have posters of all their horror movies through the years, and they should be drop doors where a scareactor or prop from that movie pops out at you. They should even call it 100 Years of Horror or something :D

Universal is surveying a small number of people regarding HHN22 ticket options.

Subject: Halloween Horror Nights 22 Planning Survey

Greetings from Universal Orlando! We are working on developing our Halloween Horror Nights ticket programs and special offers for 2012 and we'd very much like to get your feedback!

The survey takes about 8-10 minutes to complete. In appreciation for your participation you will be entered in an exclusive drawing where two winners will win either Four tickets to Halloween Horror Nights 22, Four regular park tickets, or a $200 gift card for Amazon.com, WalMart.com, or Target.com. If you win, you can choose. There is no cost to participate in the survey, your responses will be anonymous and will never be used to try to sell you anything.

Sincerely,

Universal Orlando Resort

^ Gives the usual option of four different ticket scenarios at different price points. You have to pick one per screen. Then it asks you if you would actually purchase the ticket you picked.

Pretty much the same tickets offered in past years. It looks like they are try to figure out how much people are will to pay.

I got the survey. Was kind of disappointed that there were no questions on actual themes or attractions, but that possibly could soon be coming.

Don't count on it, it's a bit too late for them to be throwing around house/zone ideas.
