I kinda hate that we are getting a USH type of HHN site this year instead of the immersive sites we've had in years past, its a little disappointing to be honest.

In my opinion it has been going that way since HHN20. 21 was sort of a step back to the goodies but not quite anywhere near 18 or 19, or even 14-17 for that matter.

That being said this is still the early site and they have had similar ones in the past that develop into so much more. For example, after Dead Silence was confirmed for a haunt they had a page with just the Dead Silence house coming and a dvd promo trailer for it.

And in 19 once Saw and Wolfman were confirmed they really pushed those first.

Then last year I believe before the Lady Luck details came out we had the fact that The Thing would be a house and a page of some sort before things got detailed.

That being said. I still feel your worry.

If I recall correctly, wasn't it reported that our site was being done by the same people that does the HHN Hollywood one this year?

Some of the previous sites from years past were amazing...I HOPE whoever is doing the site realizes that the USF event is in a whole different level than Hollywood.

Some characters/scenes have been revealed for the Walking Dead house:

"We're providing Universal with the exact same molds and make-up pieces that we used on the show. So when you encounter Bicycle Girl and the Well Walker as you go through The Walking Dead maze, they're going to look exactly as they did on the television show," Nicotero continued. "Our goal here is to give fans of the show as authentic an experience as we possibly can."

And that means not only replicating some of the more memorable characters from the Walking Dead TV series, it also means recreating full settings from the show. Take -- for example -- the hospital from the pilot of this AMC show where Rick awoke from his coma.

"To my way of thinking, there's no better place to begin our story in this Walking Dead maze," Murdy stated. "We put you right in Rick's shoes. Imagine being in a coma and then waking up and realizing there are all these walking dead. And they're now trying to get you."

The highly detailed Walking Dead mazes which are currently under construction at both the Universal Orlando Resort as well as Universal Studios will also include memorable settings from Season One and Season Two of the show like the campsite and the swamp.

They didn't hire Ray Keim back, he designed the site from 2005-2011 and even had a seasonal A&D team spot.

I think, this once more, is Comcast not knowing how to handle the event. If someone wants to find a reason to be critical of Comcast, here is your chance. On the other token we are getting fresh concepts into the parks, and I can guarantee that while atleast 2 houses will probably be hated due to trying something new we'll get atleast one solid awesome new house concept out of this. Change is good, and Universal had gotten far to complacent with their formula. I am however irked about the website being lackluster.

Wow, so lets see what happens, maybe we get a good site pretty soon, otherwise, the site and interactivity is leading to a letdown this year.

No offense...but is site interactivity all that important? Personally I found the interactivity last year to be boring and uninteresting, but the event was amazing.

Last years site was a little lackluster, but the previous years had been much better, and for the fan community it gets us excited about the event and finding out info little by little but having fun doing it, not just a press release.

I think it adds a lot to the event over all. It's what makes speculation so much fun and gives you a taste of Halloween in July. It's not essential to the success of Halloween Horror Nights, especially since so many casual fans don't start to get excited until August, but it was always a nice way to build hype for die-hards. On the other token, having a well themed, beautiful website MIGHT sell more tickets, I'm honestly not sure, but my train of thought is that if someone who is on the fence goes to the site and sees a kick-ass website they might be more likely to buy.

The best part about the site is that it builds story for the event before getting there. I really like seeing all of these different houses coming together under one theme and having it making sense in relation to a central character.

After watching Tweeup Videos and VIP Lounge Talk videos I really hope they bring something like the two back this year.
