I would expect her to at least make media appearances and the opening scaremony would be nice. While it would be nice to see her I really hope she isn't reduced to being a barker in her scarezone, she's deserves so much more than that.

Maybe it won't be every night, but last year they had at least 2 Chances who were floating around, one of which was Erin (of course).

It's weird because I feel like everyone's so dead set based on speculation that it's just "nope, she won't be there at all". I don't think it's crazy to believe she might make appearances in her zone through the event.

Here's the thing: If Erin isn't regularly playing Chance in a proper Chance show, then it's entirely likely she'll be performing in Bill and Ted, where she usually performs.

I've NEVER seen the actual icon appear in a zone or house on less it was a limited, one-off thing. Bryce (Caretaker) did like five minutes in Screamhouse once (hell, the Grinch even snuck into Screamhouse for a couple of scares). They're paid on a completely different scale to do that sort of work. Erin is a performer, not a scarer.

If she is doing B&T again this year, I could still see them using Chance for a quick Opening Scaremony. Maybe they don't do quite as detailed make-up, and place her further away like they did with the Purge actor from two years ago.

Either that, or she leads her minions down the midway and she stays near the back of them.

Then she would go off to her B&T duties.

As much as I love the Chance character, seeing her back in B&T would be worth it. I've gotten the impression she's doing something with the zone though and in any case I would imagine they would want to keep her somewhat free for media stuff. I know a swing could always fill in, but just doesn't seem to make sense to set up that situation.

Aren't ScareZone barkers paid on a par with B&T? I assumed it was similar to the Equity rule (on a mic, get Equity rate) after seeing a friendly acquaintance play the Wicked Witch in Path of the Wicked.

And that's the problem. Having Erin accessible to the fans probably isn't something Universal actually wants. And I'm not seeing anything in her zone that keeps her out of arms' reach.

That sounds like a total nightmare. Orlando fans have a really disconcerting "ownership" of local celebrities that I imagine would not play out well here.

I'd agree putting her up on a tower with a mic (ala Witch of the West or Caterpillar) could work, but that might not be the kind of performing Erin actually wants to do. Half of her charm is her animated movement/body language, and a restrictive barker-in-a-tower role kind of limits that.

Yeah the version of her in most of the promo material is in fact her manifestation of herself in her mind. Otherwise we would just see her in the prison/asylum and that's it.

I watched a Tim Tracker video from the last night of HHN 25, where he showed that many items of that years HHN merchandise had been slashed in price by this point in an attempt to shift them.
Can anyone confirm if this is a pretty standard procedure for most years gone by? I'll hold off on most purchases till then if so, though that won't be an easy thing!

Additionally they had a good amount of stuff after the event at the garage sale for even better prices. I got a pack of the playing cards last year there for $.50, I think everything was 70% off.
