I can't see them releasing a house this early. I'd bet on more general HHN info. At best, maybe a general theme.

...Yeah. That's what confuses me more than anything now. Have they ever done a theme/icon reveal this early? Because I'm really curious if its a big announcement.

The reason that i'm thinking that, is that Hollywood has gone extremely quiet, as Orlando has something up their sleeve.

Well... They basically announced Jack at the end of 24...

I don't think this is a theme or icon announcement. This is either a repeat house from HHN history or classic horror IP reveal. "Classic horror" though could be the Universal Monsters, Hitchcock, Lovecraft or (much more likely) a slasher. My gut says they're announcing that, and it could be Elm Street, Friday the 13th, TCM or... Halloween (which I think is the codename I can't reveal...).

I would think that they'd want to reveal the slasher later on..unless if it was to cross promote with something else going on this week in Horror news.

My initial thought when I just skimmed past that was that there was something about that date that related to an IP they are working on or that it would be a significant day behind the scenes (signing a contract, locking something in etc.). I'm not expecting a reveal of anything, but I would love to be wrong!

Seems that at Cinemacon, Lionsgate is distributing the upcoming TCM film, and is having a presentation today. If an announcement is coming, it Could be a good way to cross-promote when you think of it actually; granted if its both coasts.

THIS^ I agree that it will more than likely tie in TCM with HHN26. One can hope!

Exactly, and to be honest - this only impacts a handful of people who go to every haunt event in the country. For most, it's not a tiring idea.

I'm starting to wonder if we're going to get a monthly release.

April - July = 4 IPs
August = Originals + TWD? (Full reveal)

It gives the "One IP at a time" method they've used the past couple of years a longer burn, while encouraging much earlier planning.

I heard last years Walking Dead house was lame. (It was a 5 hour wait, no way was I gonna do that).
And 24's was just kinda bland.
