I loved 24's, but 25's was pretty mediocre.

They've all been pretty mediocre. 24s was long, but that's about the best thing I can say about it

I liked the Hershel head in the queue.
That's it.

I think 23 was my top--wouldn't swear to that tho--but ultimately discussing best HHN house is like debating which is the best McDonalds in town. All pretty much the same, none worth getting excited over.

I last went to HHN for 23, but I didn't watch TWD then so all I remember from that house was the zombie on a chain outside.... that might have even been resident Evil....

I wouldn't be ecstatic about a TWD house, I'd prefer an original concept!

Just wanted to throw this out, Krampus is on Blu-Ray on the 26th. If an announcement for the house is coming, it could make sense to speak of it then. Who knows, but it makes sense.

Have it as a Dual-coast announcement (or make it an exclusive announcement for Hollywood, so they don't feel left out after the announcement of TCM for Orlando), it'd be a great way to use synergy. We'll see though.

I know it wouldn't happen but I think Universal could do a VVitch house really well.

God I hope Krampus is coming.

Also, if you didn't see Krampus, go do that when it comes out on Blu Ray.

I would absolutely love that, however if they went with a period witch themed property I think they may be more likely to go with the Salem show. The VVitch was a little more drama driven then the average IP they use and I feel like Salem would be more appealing in that it has some very diverse visual queues from the first two seasons that could translate very well.

I just think Universal is queen supreme when it comes to envoking a sense of dread, despair and desolation. I could easily see them retooling Roanoke into The VVitch successfully

Same here. I mean the movie was not phenomenal, but there were great designs in it and they would translate very well into a house ... I'd love to be ambushed by a giant gingerbread man :)

Anyone has any thoughts concerning the original houses? I'd live to see the Bloody Masquerade turned into a house.

Oh I would very much disagree. Krampus was a TERRIFIC gateway horror film/horror comedy. It easily became one of my favorites.

I would too, but they've beaten the Vampyr horse a little much (some would say.)

I honestly would not mind a remake of Castle Vampyr, a house that not many "new" HHN fans experienced but should 1,000,000%

I know there's rumors that one house will be Lovecraft Mythos based, which could be great for creature design.

But if it doesn't end with a giant encounter with Cthulhu I'm gonna riot

Yes please. The first appeared the year before my first HHN event. They only Vampyr house I've seen at HHN is the Vampyr: Blood Bath night club themed one... not the greatest,

I think it only makes sense for them to include a Lovecraft house this year. I mean, 2016 is the 100th anniversary of Lovecraft's first published story. I hope that rumor turns out true... and if it does, that they do it right.

I am very interested of Lovecraft, as it has potential to do very well as a HHN house. We'll find out though eventually..
