I was asking. One of the HHN rumor sites is pointing to this as an indicator of a Penn & Teller deal happening. How they know this I have no idea.

I wouldn't say that... things get out but those in the know are much more secretive about what they actually know. I've seen it on both sides.. Those who've been around a long time know that lol.

Very true, seems like all hell can break loose pretty much anytime. Remember when the major IP line up for 19 was leaked because a user on HNN overheard a universal vendor at hot topic explaining them to the worker? It's just enviable that these things will happen lol. I just heard inklings that they're going a but more undercover this time around, atleast at A&D specifically

Yeah that's what I though, the rumor I read said he was in Las Vegas. It does seem plausible to combine a trip to LA with Las Vegas though.

I love Penn & Teller as performers, but their house was garbage in a year that was chock full of it.

Unless they're being brought in to help build a show for the event or something, I really don't want them involved.

It's definitely not a bottom house for me, but definitely not a house that needs to be repeated, especially from a year that was considered bad by fans. If this partnership happens, I hope it's a new idea.

So with the rumor of Penn & Teller returning I began to think a little outside the box. Everyone jumps to a show or even a house as we've seen before. But why not a scare zone?

If the theme is done right, it could make a great use of Hollywood. Imagine like Face/Off and ICONS scare zone featuring little mini-stages all throughout. Each stage could feature a magician performing a "trick" on a volunteer that doesn't go as planned. The knife throwing/wheel gag from Jack's show last year comes to mind. They could saw someone in half and use the scareactor who played bicycle girl at HHN23 and was a chainsaw clown in the wheelchair last year. And of course on nights when they are available, Penn & Teller themselves can perform on one of the stages, a little larger than the others, like Caretaker's last year.

There's my idea. It's a little different, but I think it's a fair compromise.

Can we not have the photo-op "scare zones" which aren't scary and might as well be mannequins?

Since 22 was my first year & Penn & Teller were the sole reason I started going to Halloween Horror Nights in the first place, I fully support them coming back. Since I was a kid it was a dream to meet them & being able to do it at HHN would be the icing on the cake. I loved NLV & it was a major highlight of my otherwise bad first impression of HHN(the weather was a huge issue & it was on my birthday so it was 2 strikes right away) & i'd enjoy that being used as a scare zone idea or a horde.

That brings me to my ideas. I'd LOVE if they could come & do a show but I don't see how you give up 2 straight months of shows at the Rio with guaranteed money to work the event so it would have to be select nights & I could see it as an upcharge, perhaps in a soundstage theater set(like when Fallon tapes or Grinchmas, a set up like that) But the go-to is the P&T creating another house. Teller was really enamored with HHN & Penn seemed to be having a good time so I could see it working. The Urban Legends Are B.S. house that some of us have been talking about since the debut of the Urban Legends brand. An idea I had as well was put them in charge of Run, I could imagine Penn's voice narrating through the paths of a Run house even more like a sadistic game show than before(Uh Oh, looks like someone found Teller's booby traps)

This brings me to Drew's Magic Gone Wrong idea. i've envisioned this as a house or scare zone for a while now & I know it would completely work. Using the template of Icons: HHN & using various shock magicians on every mini stage doing the basic tricks when either A. Something goes horribly wrong or B. They are going wrong on purpose & they are just snuffing people out for fun using Magic as their cover-up. Either would work. I've always thought about an Icon, either a real wizard posing as a magician or yet another psycho who is using a stage magician as a cover-up. A lot like The Director but to another extreme.

That would bring up the P&T stage, you could have it at the end of the scare zone with them performing on select nights throughout the event(Perhaps like 10-15 & for opening night & closing night at least). The stage would be like The Carnage Returns stage where you can have the various opening acts leading to the main event. P&T on those nights & for the rest of the event, bring in somewhat known shock magicians like Penn & Teller or even perhaps a tie-in to Fool Us which starts its new season in June where they could feature magicians that have successfully fooled them on the show like using the Face Off brand.

I'm passionate about this as much as I am Scream & I believe they will return to HHN, not sure if it's this year but I don't want to get my hopes up just yet. When the Rio announces the dates for the rest of the year & September & October weekend dates are blocked out, that's when i'll start getting excited.

But until then....we wait.

Looks like there are a good number of scenes that could be used. The first half of the house could be kills with the second half being the backstory scenes. Plus James Wan loves working with HHN.

Looks like a winner.

Do You think there will be a House based on "The Visit" since it was done by the people who did Purge and Insidious .

I have a feeling that the only thing that is coming to HHN from Blumhouse, is a proper take of The Purge. It makes sense, considering that there's alot more to work with now than previously (And, considering Purge 3 coming out this year).

Conjuring looks promising. I really don't think it's up there on the list of IPs this year, certainly not #1 ;). It's just one house with one or two scenes really worthy of HHN, however like insidious, more sequels the better in terms of HHN. Might get somewhere here. My two big bets are still purge and krampus. So much going for them

You know if they did a show and made it Saturdays only it would be a pretty good way to make those FFP guests open their wallets a little more.
