I like the idea of removing the Shrek location and making it uncharge, it'll reduce the long lines in the streets and allow better flow through that area of production central.

Yeah, thinking back to all the SS22 houses I've been through, none of them felt particularly short.

The design of the houses does play a big role in how long/short they 'feel.' If there are large scenes with long straight guest pathways, it's going to feel shorter than a house that utilizes smaller scenes with lots of tight turns.

Which is why the sprung houses frequently feel lengthy.

Throwing it out there as alternatives, what if they are getting rid of Shrek, so we get both theatres before they change it to something else? Or, what if they are using it for a show?

Not going to happen, but it'd be nice if they were to move AoV in Shrek (for this year at least) so that they could build a structure for a zone in that spot.

The reason I say both is because of that really random tweet a while ago hinting that Shrek was going, but coming back in the future. The tweet was quickly deleted, but I found this article with the tweet Did Universal Orlando Leak The Closing of Shrek 4-D? - Theme Park University

Timed right, this would be a fantastic opportunity for HHN to use the full space before it getting repurposed more long term.

People extrapolated too much from that. It was just social media team goofing around.

One more non-HHN fan question: is there ever unique food options? Or is it just the usual Mel's Drive-in/Fast Food Boulevard type of stuff open?

They have similar tents as to what you see during Mardi Gras that have different stuff.

As for the Shrek speculation, I hope to god that if it's an upcharge it's way better than Repository, which was straight garbage

Nothing really unique, which I personally think is a missed opportunity. Their attempt at unique things(pizza fries) was nice, but the execution was terrible. I know this may be divisive, but pizza fries were an atrocity.

Was Repository just really short? Because it seems like AHS (with which it shared the stage) was really long.

I have no interest in upcharge of course.

I liked them. However, they took forever and needed more sauce. The venue was way too tiny for the amount of guests.

It wasn't short, it was small. You lingered in rooms more with story elements, it was not a typical house.

You thought Ghost Town was short? I thought it was a pretty good length. I thin Dead Waters issue was it had no ending. The last hallway needed to be a little better than it was. That's why it felt short IMO

I was able to walk through Ghost Town with nobody in front of me, so that might be skewing my perception a bit.

Any house you get to walk through without anyone in front of you automatically ups the cool factor by 10 haha...This happened to me during The Thing...I about peed my pants

If Ghost Town was a scary house, I'm sure I'd be doing the same

Dunno I'm not crazy with the idea of them doing any kind of upcharge house.

Seriously? They've never made a Poltergeist House? I just assumed that it existed and never thought to check if it's actually real.

Still though, it's never too late to make the obvious choice.
Just make sure to watch your neck.
I know a certain clown who doesn't have the best sense of personal space.

Once again, I have a hard time figuring out how they would do that scene justice.

I would love an upcharge house similar to the Sleep No More experience - swapping the dancing and nudity for intense haunt style scare tactics. Really love the choose your own adventure/interact with characters vibe. I’ve mentioned his before, but I also wish scare zones utilized interactive theatrics more.
