Here is a little clip from the making of Diagon Alley special. It shows the actors filming scenes for the Gringott's ride:

Do we know how long ago they filmed the footage for the ride?

Yes, when the Weasley boys were at Diagon a week ago, they were interviewed and stated that it was filmed two years ago.

On another note... Skub just posted a picture of the line to try the interactive wands in Hogsmeade. I now see that it sucks that no one will be able to stand and peer through the windows to see the decor. Gosh, that makes me mad!

Is the Gringotts ride clocking in at about 5 minutes? I was impressed with the length of Transformers and am happy to see this is around the same length.

I timed it at 4:30 minus the wait before unload.

It seems a handful of people have been on Gringott's in the last day, will one of you please write more details about the ride here? They keep teasing about it in the DA thread but we want all the spoilers in here!

I was expecting more Blown away impressions to be honest. Everything I've read was "it was good" or "it was great" ..was expecting more "HOLY CRAP THAT WAS AMAZING" type reviews. Oh well...

Check out Screamscape's, Slashfilm's, Theme Park Insider's, etc reviews. There are plenty of people saying it's raised the bar yet again.

Here's Lance's wrap up of his review:

Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts is yet another game changing attraction from Universal Orlando. Universal Creative has truly managed to create an entirely new attraction style in the process that, once again, is like nothing you have ridden before. In fact you could say that they have “set the bar even higher”, but in this case, they have taken a chainsaw to the bar, set it on fire, scattered the ashes and reset their sights on the stars above.

I saw two reviews on OI's Tweet, "Gringott's Escape Blew Me Away' and the second was "Gringott's is Amazing"...Hope that makes you feel better.

I've posted my full review on TouringPlans, I'm sure many casual fans will rave that it is the "best ride ever" but I had a slightly more complex reaction. Definitely in my top 5, and it grew on me more after 3 rides, but not my instant all-time favorite.

So far I've seen a mix of both. Some say it's amazing, others are comparing it to other screen-based attractions like Transformers and Spider-Man. I don't know. I don't honestly expect another screen-based ride to really blow guests away.

Guests or jaded theme park fans?

I will be very amazed if this doesn't blow the normal joes away.

I don't think a comparison to Spider-Man is a bad thing!

^ I just hope that all of the mega rockwork we have seen with the work lights on will be well lit for the actual ride. A major shortcoming of FJ which is lit like Dinosaur, as in not.

Well theme park fans are guests and vice versa. You haven't heard people coming off Transformers saying "That was just Spider-Man with Transformers"? And then to describe the use of screens in FJ, I've also heard people use Spider-Man comparisons.

I know they're not really similar at all (minus Spidey and TF) but normal joes may be less impressed after having ridden two or three of the top screen-based attractions in the world just before this one.

And no, it's not. At all.
