Let’s hope that’s the case. We all remember what happened the last time an HBO show moved ahead of the source material.

Naughty Dog and Neil Druckmann knows what the story of TLOU3 is and can relay that to HBO so that they can shoot for that game’s story almost simultaneously with it’s release.

At least from the timeline I’m imagining right now which would have the game out either Mid/Late 2026 or Early 2027.

That's also not to mention the story and assets they made for the cancelled multiplayer game. Surely things from that side of development can be worked into story elements for the show, game, or both.

Part of me almost wonders if Joel is actually talking to her in that scene - if it could be a misdirect somehow, similar to

the TLOU2 trailer where Joel says "you really think I'd let you do this on your own?" - when the line is actually said by Jesse. I believe the conversation shown in the trailer mirrors the convo that Joel had with Tommy in the game.

Looks great

I never beat the game.....(naughty dog games...are just not fun to play...the online are but thats because they change things around to be more game like) but the story is interesting enough and excited to see how they adapt the story and also hope season 3 can get out by 2026
