For last years maze they had a thin plastic like mesh hiding the maze that you could easily poke holes in LOL

I saw it too. The entire Universal Plaza is behind walls. I assume it’s in preparation for the summer meet and greets with characters like last year, but I could be wrong.

Unfortunately I didn’t take pictures. The entire circle is behind walls. I hope it’s not closed all summer because the walkways were packed this weekend and the plaza helps with guest flow.

Got a little bit more intel, seems like that's more because of Mr. Ping coming into play for Universal Plaza.

That said, I'm surprised that it's taking all of Universal Plaza down for refurb. My guess, is that they are doing some refurb on the water fountains, but I could be wrong.
