Since the problem seems to be more than just the coupling, I have a feeling the problem has something to do with the lift hill since they've been seen working on the top every night. Maybe its the anti-rollback system in place or something with the lift itself that needs to be changed/modified. But the biggest fix this coaster needs is in the computer program that it suppossed to allow 7 trains on at a time, which it is currently not.

Also another thing discussed it maybe with the new wheel on the trains, there is a smaller chance of another train valleying after the loop.

I guess what, 4 or 5 valleys was enough for Universal? :P

I hope they work on the wheels and the train to get the roughness fixed.

Except it wasn't designed to so it'd be extremely difficult and dangerous to get you out. :P

Instead of shutting it down, they should embrace the danger of potential valleying, cracked parts etc. Simply bill it as an Extreme Coaster for HHN and charge an extra fee to ride it. Will you live? Will you die? Will you just be horribly disfigured? Try the R.I.P. Ride Rockit and find out.

^Gotta agree, dieing on a Maurer Sohne wouldn't even get you on the front page of the newpaper. Now an accident on a B&M or Intamin on the other hand....

It's a money loss for the manufacturer. Universal is getting money back on this ride. The worse it performs, the more they'll be getting.

I wonder how badly Uni is kicking themselves for not just making another Hollywood Dream coaster?

If the company has that much. Its not all that simple as them getting money because the company screwed up.

Regardless you can't make up for this much bad press and loss potential time for money, we still all lose because we never really got a new attraction out of it.

I used to be teased up and down on IOA because I was one of the few (like Roll n Fear) who saw this thing as waste.

Everyone is giving up way too quickly on HRRR, when, in fact, it is getting better. I'm sure Universal's finalizing everything for the audio/light systems as well, so it's up to the re-testing of the ride to guarantee its improved condition.

What you dont understand is this thing has had so many problems over and over again so most pepole just give up with the ride.

No, I understand it very well. It's simply not enough, however, to 'give up' on it. The ride is simply great, especially with the experience given by the music and lighting effects. It's simply out of the question to demolish it, and Universal is trying everything possible to fix it up. I believe it is possible, and that the precautionary measures taken were good ones. The ride will eventually get better.
