I think it is something in Japan seeing as how he is currently there right?

Yes, expansion. And it seems as if they have pitched a bunch of different attraction concepts. What we don't know is what has actually gotten the green light.

Are the Amber Mine, River Adventure dark ride, Camp Jurassic upgrades and Discovery Center dark rides the only ones that have been pitched? If not, what has?

Universal needs their Haunted Mansion, Pirates, Spaceship Earth, or such. You don't have to nearly die in everything. Closest Universal has is ET, Cat in the Hat is too whip-lash inducing.

I was just reading that as well. Seems highly unlikely but I guess Screamscape likes his source enough to put in the update.

I feel like unless they change it from King Kong theme to JP that it would never happen.

Yes his trust in sources is excellent. Like how Transformers is totally not coming to UOR.

The only way King Kong 360 3D would fit there is because it involves Dinosaurs. Its a great ride though, not one for those scared by dinosaurs. My mum killed my hand going through it the other year. Yet see can make it through the Jurassic Park rides just fine, with eyes closed in the building of course. However for the ride being standalone, it just wouldn't work, it would need a huge redesign as well as being longer.

This is just a guess, but are all these varied plans recently just a way to confuse the rumor mill since this site was so early to reveal one realistic option? How much of all of this, hypercoasters and King Kong, is just white noise?

I have it on good authority that Screamscape is fed junk news all the time, as a slap-the-knee joke. A few tell him anything outrageous just to shut up his whining for info.
