Just looked at Google Earth. Crap, forget what I said :bonk:



The refurb got cancelled.

Not cancelled so to speak, just maintenance claims everything needed can be one during 3rd shift and doesn't warrant a closure to guests. Meanwhile ops is cool with that due to increased attendance numbers anticipated for March.

The Dino's in JPRA are in serious need of maintenance. Yesterday riding the ride I noticed the exact same problems with the Ultrasaur, Big steg, and the raptors that they've had for weeks. All the raptors look terrible with their heads cocked to the side all crazy like...and the big stegs mouth not moving...and the limited movement on the Ultrasaur...they need some serious tlc or upgraded animatronics.

It just saddens me that the few times I've ridden JP in Hollywood, as well as watched videos of the Japan and Singapore rides...all their Dino's seem to be in way better shape.

I just hope that for the 4th Jurassic Park movie they don't pull another A Good Day To Die Hard. I mean it was okay, but sometimes you can have too much of a good thing... I hope that there will be a plot to it and that they somehow implement it into the expansion in some creative way if the film turns out to be great. :look:

They already did that with the third film. 4 should be according to movie law almost as good as the first one or quite possibly the worst movie ever created. Nothing in between.

The third was the death of the franchise. XD If anything JP fell victim to the Bad-third movie curse.

JP 3 was what I was referring to. The third Die Hard, or Die Hard with a Vengeance was one of my favorites.

Sam Jackson style! lol The first and and the fourth were my favorites..but all of them were pretty solid in my opinion. I havent seen the newest one yet though..

In my opinion the 1st, 3rd, and 4th were the best Die Hard films, the new one just didn't feel like a Die Hard movie :mean: although I did get a free Die Hard t-shirt when I saw the movie that made it a little better. Sorry to side track...

I actually liked the third Jurassic Park movie. Liked it better than the second one as a matter of fact, although I probably would have liked the second one better had they not included the Greenpeace guy and the Tyrannosaur in San Diego. I just wish they had stayed more true to the book, as that was a fantastic story.

So- I have been having trouble following.. What rumors still stand, and what have seemingly been changed or canned? I hope they spare no expense when it comes to a JP expansion! Seems Universal is really pushing JP, they even have a new toy line hitting toys r us for JP3D.

If I got this right, the Discovery Center Dark Ride is on the backburnner, there will be a bigger rehab of JPRA next year, and the Amber Mine wodden coaster is gonna happen. After that there should be other additions just to keep interest in the area, but all of these are rumors.

All I can say is things change all the time, but regardless of what has changed within the expansion. The expansion itself is coming and those involved are very excited. Also, just so everyone is on the same page Orlando isn't the only place with projects 65 million years in the making... :sneaky:

Yesterday, you said BGT or JP regarding this winged thing. So now you are changing this... or are you adding something else somewhere else? I think most of us are focused on the winged thing.
