Doesn't look too bad, though I seriously hope the prizes won't look too out of place in the area.

Yeah I agree... although I'm not too excited about using all of the Triceratops Encounter plot for two flat rides and a food truck. How about one flat ride by Camp Jurassic and an AE-style show where TE used to be... with room for the backstage area of a Discovery Center dark ride in the near future? if there's two flat rides, they both better be unique to JP (no tea cups, spinners, or carousels)

Pleasantly surprised with the games... holding judgement until it's all revealed, though.

Came on here to check out my photos that OrlandoParks is posting, thought I'd add these two into the mix. Now that the game stations are covered you can't see as much, but here ya go...

It was just two blank pieces of black slate for a while.

With this layout, there will be no way to traverse the park without having to awkwardly ignore Midway employees yelling at you to "throw a ring around the triceratops!" :bonk:

Wait, a corporation is placing a revenue generating location on a path that forces people to pass by it and hopefully spend money?

There is nothing I hate worse than being hollered at by someone with a microphone running these games and making you feel bad if you don't play.

How does someone make you feel bad for not playing a game? Do they have orphan children there that don't get fed if they don't get a certain number of players?

None of the Simpsons games have microphones, do they?

I know the LC ones do, but that fits in with the "bazaar" theming, even if it is annoying. I don't think we'll see that in JP.

I don't think the Simpsons ones do. I know two of the LC ones do. And usually all I ever hear when I walk through there is "Come on over, ring the bell, win a prize"

Right, and while I find it annoying, it fits with the theming.

I don't foresee the JP games having the same thing

Are those boys really really small? I don't recall that tricero logo thing being that big. Isn't it about 5' tall?

The expansion was moving along independent of the movie, which was originally scheduled for a 2014 release.

I hear you on that and obviously they knew that they needed to expand there, but you don't think when they were deciding between Lorax and JP (which now it turns out both are happening anyway) it was brought up JP would be more marketable since a new trilogy is coming out?

where did you hear about there being a new trilogy? I thought it was only confirmed for the one movie.

Is Universal's pay structure really the lowest in town?

Universal's pay is pretty bad (Disney pays more for most front line jobs) and the times where Universal DOES stay open late, many TM's are still getting paid minimum wage -- even the actors in HHN. Unless you are in a how, doing stilts or something extra that would earn more pay in their mind, then you get paid just as much for being in a house or a hoard (or less) as the TM's selling alcohol (just as a comparison). It's really a slap in the face to the TM's working the event, especially when Busch pays $1.25 more per hour. Universal is just lucky that those that do this event do it for the love of the event and it's just a second job for most. I just think out of respect they should get paid more... without them there is no event.

It was slated for a new one at one point. Searching it up now though, the problems the film went through to finally get the green light and director changes may have changed it though.

Joe Johnston, the director at the time last year, stated there would be a new trilogy (he's no longer the director however): http://screenrant.com/steven-spielberg-jurassic-park-4-sandy-147020/
