So - question, since I'm not 100% familiar with IOA layout and I'm basing this off foggy memory and google maps. The mine coaster presumably would be in the Trike area, based on what HTF has said about Kong going in the more substantial area.

Could the current guest pathway be redirected closer to the water through the current Trike area? I assume the FJ show building is most visible by Pizza Preditoria? So could that pathway redirection, in conjunction with the mine train, conceal the FJ show building?

It would indirectly make JP seem bigger despite the losses to Kong by making the pathway more tortuous.

Took the words right out of my mouth and its been a hope of mine since the expansion came to my mailbox. Its possible and would also allow them to build a proper extended queue for FJ.

I was really expecting a general you're an idiot, that's not how JP layout is setup at all. Glad I can be perceptive occasionally.

I kind of assume JP has also been pushed out to a 2016 project with Lorax taking front of the pack for 2015, or is the hope still for both that year?

Ugh, I agree 100%. I can't even enter Jurassic Park through the north gate anymore because it just depresses me to see the castle sticking up above the gates. I miss the old Jurassic Park.

I would love for some of the paths to be reworked, just like how brianlo stated.

What does this even mean?

You either know more and can't talk about it, or you are not holding your breath that it is ever going to happen?

One final snow-ball of an idea, but re-working the pathway, ditching pizza predatoria, building the mine train etc. could potentially make room for a Hogwarts dining experience. I just can't get over the fact that would just make stupid Be-our-Guest-level amounts of money (maybe even more than that).

For some reason something in me is going "No, that would be a terrible thing to happen!" but it really doesn't seem like that bad of an idea at all- could this even provide more space than currently exists in that half of Jurassic Park, with the removal of Pizza Predatoria?

This NEEDS to happen! This is the one major thing that really should happen for a future HP expansion. A Great Hall would be an amazing response to Disney's "Be Our Guest" experience. And as far as the mine train goes, is that close to being confirmed as the next E-Ticket for Jurassic Park?

Re-routing the paths to go around the opposite side of the Trike encounter would be pretty genius...that means that there's then space in the Trike plot AND the area next to the FJ showbuilding as well as the JP extended queue to work with. Pizza Pred would most likely not be missed (one of the lower-performing counter services at Islands of Adventure). But if that was the plan would they have bothered putting up those games so recently?

Hate to be "that guy" but is a amber mine coaster realistic? I mean a good coaster, obviously a family one like thunder mountain, but do they have enough space to make it even half as good as thunder mountain?

Took an image of thunder mountain and the space they have in IOA. doesnt seem possible for a Eticket, probably a D

Looks like it would need to be a smaller footprint, but they should be able to fit in a good ride there.

But if they do rework the path and take out the pizza place it would be even more space.

Is that your real name Hans? All I can think of is Hans Gruber in the Die Hard movie.

Back on track... Universal is better at using limited space than anyone I know. Disney doesn't quite understand the concept in Florida.

Yeah, I would think that Universal Creative can find a way to stuff a decent ride into that much space. Now, would this also mean that a section of Jurassic Park would be right on the water, thus exposing the other lands? Or could they still fit some sort of sight barrier to preserve the jungley feel?

The Discovery Center is on the water, the Trike area borders Blutos. So they will need to design around that.

I dont see the pathway happening for 3 reasons

1 - Blutos would be directly in front of you, take away from the jungle aspect
2 - Game have been recently put up, no reason for them to go back down
3 - Jurassic park queue is too close to those areas IMO.

I think the amber mine will be the size of that plot of land.

I hope they figure something out. times like this where I wish Uni had WDW kind of land.... :'(

Im getting a little obsessed about HTF follower number... what will happen at 1k?!:kingkong:

^ Good points.

I am still pondering the area, but this is it for anyone that has not seen.

I was thinking they wouldn't go right up to the water/edge of those attractions, or use a small berm (like 12 feet of "amber mine" rock work. The actual mine train would be hour glass shaped so the pathway would pinch back inwards, thereby keeping the portion of the pathway with the games.

Hell of logistics with the tracks if they plan to put in a mine coaster in there. Hopefully they get it right and they dont give us another baby coaster like the one at Hogsmeade
