I just hope that whatever they have planned takes advantage of the Jurassic Park theme. It's supposed to be an island with both magnificent, and scary Dinosaurs on it.. the possibilities from that concept are endless, so I really hope they are utilized. I want to see the Dinosaurs and films come to life in as many ways as possible.

Are you serious? Islands of Adventure is HURTING for a family roller coaster. Thunder Mountain is one of the best family coasters too. It has great themeing, moderate thrills, and the whole family can ride. We don't need more thrill rides. If it's well themed and has a low height restriction but is fun it'll be largely successful.

Exactly! Hulk and DC have the thrill machines covered, Hippogriff have little kids covered. But an Amber Mine and Mt. Crumpet would have FAMILIES covered.

And Comcast need to fix Seuss Trolley and Pteranodon Flyers so both have no height/age requirements... that's just terrible that the Trolley has a 40" height limit now.

Add the Lorax dark ride, possibly the Discovery Center idea, and add in Kong to round out the trio of state of the art thrilling dark rides... IOA would be pretty solid

Yeah, I would think that Universal Creative can find a way to stuff a decent ride into that much space. Now, would this also mean that a section of Jurassic Park would be right on the water, thus exposing the other lands? Or could they still fit some sort of sight barrier to preserve the jungley feel?

It's possible they want you to be some what forced to pass by the lagoon and have a great view of it for the now long rumored night time show in IoA

Pteranodon Flyers needs to be pulled out and replaced with something else with a similar footprint. Trolley doesn't have great capacity but it's leagues better than Pteranodon.

Remember that JP and TL are not separated by the lagoon. The area that JP fronts on the lagoon is by the Discovery Center. So if they open the Trike area up during the expansion something will need to be done to hide Bluto's. I am picturing jagged rock-work absolutely overgrown with mold, moss, vines, trees, etc.

Anyone think the worlds tallest coaster from S&S could possibly go to JP?

Nope, but I feel we will see that type of coaster at IOA since it is a smaller footprint

We definitely need some more insider details to chew on and get it back on track. I remember HTF saying that construction on the JP expansion would start this past Aug/Sept...that obviously changed. I'd just like to know what's actually "happening" at this point, and what's been canned.

From what I know, the ride will involve a lot of AA's and it will have video screens. Ohh and Ak-Jake construction has started (Removing Trikes, and the Trike Encounter Props), I heard walls might go up in 1 to 2 months

We are really really picky here jwhee. What has happened so far is called "destruction" not construction. The old Hard Rock Cafe was torn down in recent years to be replaced by nothing but a few towed in overflow offices for UC on-site work. When we see walls go up and sand start to fly, then it is considered construction.

That's not what those buildings that replaced Hard Rock are for. I have a very good friend who's office is in one of them!

Well, that sounds a lot more promising than what I was expecting assuming it pans out. Lots of AA's sounds really good, and video screens makes it seem more like a dark ride of sorts. I really hope this ride can bring Jurassic Park to life..

What are the offices used for?

Yes, perhaps I was over generalizing. Those and many others surrounding the backstage have been used as overflow for many parts of the company at different times.

That may be, the point was there are offices there. It does not really matter what they are used for, but it drew my interest for a moment.
