I'm amazed to the amount of detail in that artwork! Was this at MegaCon or something?

It seriously looks like legitimate concept art from UC. If the artist is reading this, definitely think of creative as a career option you'd be perfect for it

Well not literally all water in the resort, just for future rides. If you ever do a ride marathon at universal you realize almost every ride gets you spritzed in some way or form and it gets really annoying after a while

But, I want to see what Uni could do with a splash battle ride...

The reason IoA has terrible guest retention numbers is because 1/2 the big rides are water rides that people don't want to ride after a certain time or just flat out don't want to ride on a given day.

It's true, just last month I wanted to buy a single day ticket to IOA and the woman at the kiosk told me that I would get a bigger bang for my buck at the other park because of the water rides. She literally told me as if I were going into a war zone it was ridiculous

Hey that's what the water park is for my friend. A splash battle ride would probably be there to ruin people's days due to how wet you actually get on them. And people think Popeye is bad...woof

Given it's 90 or have humidity where it feels 90 + degrees 180+ days out of the year, I don't see how more water replacing a water ride could harm the park.

Most of the park is outdoors. There are only 3 water rides yet, 8 dry rides get shutdown as well due to weather or a "given day".

I just don't see how having a water ride replacing a water ride hurts. We all know Dudley wont be hear long. JMO

IMO, I think it's a bit of a burden to get soaked on one of the water rides and then be wet for an hour or two for some people. You could ride Popeye or Dudley at the end of the day, but nobody wants to walk all the way back to the parking garage wet either. Though I must admit that with this 95+ heat it is appealing.

the last 3 major attractions to come to UOR were all screen based. Kong is rumored to have lots of screens as well. So I kind of understand the criticism.

Disney's recent additions have been 2 small dark rides, and a meet and greet. They actually need a good screen based attraction. I am guessing Avatar will fill that void. Just hoping they don't kill the boat ride.

It's funny how so many of you call out "pixiedusters" or "snorters" or whatever, but this board rivals some of the other fanboyish stuff I've seen on WDW Magic. I'm not sure why there has to be a "theme park war", but I suppose people need something to root for.

I like to read news about upcoming attractions, construction progress, rumors, etc. This Disney and disney fan bashing stuff I could really care less for, and kind of makes the board less sophisticated to me. It's jsut all so boring.

I love both theme parks. Can't we all just get along?

I refuse to use the term 'fanboys', 'dusters', or 'foamers'. My point is that for them Disney can do no wrong and they'll move the goal posts to prove that.

Regarding the water rides........no one wants to walk around with wet underwear or wet feet.......that's what it comes down to.

That has to be a hint, no way in hell it isn't. Time to start filtering every universal picture now. Hopefully this ends up like the transformers campaign where they post a little hint every week until a big reveal (TM name tag, little kid wearing a T Shirt)

I actually don't buy this at all. I think it's reading into tea leaves of something that isn't there. I haven't been able to replicate these results yet

Looked like Kono to me - lol Unless someone on here can do it, I wouldn't trust it, who knows what the person did to the picture to get that. If the rumors are true and Kong is 2016, Uni isn't going to announce it this soon either. I mean look at their recent track record with transformers and HP2.

Things have changed on that front. Universal was scared that people would delay vacations to see those like they did with Potter 1.0. After they didn't see drops after announcing either of them, they're a bit more free with announcements.

We should get a few big announcements in the next few months

EDIT: The picture was for Harry Potter Celebration 2.0, not Kong. So yes, that first pic was BS
