That especially. If you don't know how to handle the balloon properly (how to hold it, bring it up/down, follow instructions the pilot calls out, know signals, etc.) then there is a potential for things to go very wrong.

I've done the balloon handling thing quite a few times and didn't find it very difficult.
It's not difficult honestly. I don't think that had as much to do with it from what I've heard as the fact that there's about a 1.5 mile walk backstage to get back to the parade building. I was just saying if you don't know what you're doing with those balloons, it can be stressful not only on you, but the rest of the people carrying the balloon.
I'm going this year. I was always working the event but now I'll get a chance to experience it like everyone else!!

I know this sounds "weird" but how about "Weird" Al Yankovic in April. I know he'll be in my area (Ft. Pierce, FL) in April.
Not sure if they're verbotten, but Park Rumors (the former HHN Rumors) has a couple bands/dates up. Phillip Phillips (continuing the Idol winner tradition), Montgomery Gentry around Bike Week, Pat Benetar.
