I think Nintendo will spill before Universal which is exactly what they did with announcing the park deal. I also think Nintendo is going to be of a perfectionist than WB and Rowling when it comes down to stuff.

It also said that they're working on movies. I wonder if they go with Universal again and Illumination makes a Mario movie maybe? Though the only movie of theirs I really enjoyed was the first Despicable Me. The second was a big disappointment to me and The Lorax was meh. Haven't bothered with Hop or Minions.

I mean....we've been talking about what's coming for a while. Multiple attractions, keystone attraction is Mario Kart.

There's been a rumor of an amazon original series based on the Legend of Zelda.

It was Netflix, and Nintendo shot that one down pretty quick.

Yes, first there was a netflix rumor but there also was an amazon rumor, it was said they would produce a pilot and then people could decide if they wanted a full series.
Anyway, quickly googled it. Turned out the rumor was not true. UPDATE: “Legend of Zelda” TV series adaptation not going to pilot stage at Amazon – Season Zero

Legend of Zelda does seem the most obvious though for a series, hopefully it will happen one day. I know they did some animated series once, though I've never seen them. When I was little in the days of the original NES they had some Mario series as well and I know there was a Mario movie though I've not seen it either (and from what I heard it is awful anyway lol).

I know Disney was in some of the plans for use of nintendo characters for a tv show and I also heard Nintendo are pushing for more live action than animated for their films. But I don't think they will do a Mario film again especially after the one with Juan Leguizamos.

Universal has a leg up with Universal Pictures Japan actually being relevant and a big company in Japan compared to Disney and Nintendo in addition to Universal already made attractions based of Nintendo Games (Yokai Watch, Monster Hunter). Illumination most likely wont make any Nintendo Films as they have been booked until 2019 and have properties they haven't even produced yet that have been in development.

Universal Japan transformed Space Fantasy into a new VR coaster for COOL 2016. I wonder if they are testing this out for as a test on Nintendo stuff?

1:00 is when the ride footage starts

You always think that when shows like South Park or The Simpsons make fun of Japanese TV that they're being waaaaay over-the-top stereotypical. Turns out not so.

What's the scale for this? Is every single rider doing the VR experience or is this a marketing gimmick that the public will never see? If Universal can prove that VR can be done at their scale, I could see it happening in Nintendo. Personally, I don't see them ever using it just because of the operations difficulties.

It's a limited-time annual event that celebrates Japanese pop-culture. Everyone attending during this time and wanting to ride the coaster will be riding with the VR headsets. Cool Japan Heats Up. [UNIVERSAL COOL JAPAN 2016] | USJ

It's a temporary overlay for the event. It's not meant to replace it.

I think people are wondering if VR will be used in Nintendo, which I believe is a big no.

Were a ton of posts deleted from multiple threads or something? I'm seeing nothing from today in the threads I'm watching anymore.
