lets take the Kong rumours for example that the guide will be taken away by Kong. I think t would be interesting to see them coming back with an arm missing, blood spraying every where, bit of swearing.

Then have an alternative family version where they show up fine and all smiles.

Even an alternative T2 movie, John Connor swore a lot as a kid, hearing him drop a few f bombs in that motorbike chase scene would be incredible.

OK... You do realize that something like that would be rated 13 or even maybe 16. That is just not practical for a theme park to have a ride where it has that kind of age limit. We are not talking about getting rid of kiddies here.

I am all for swearing, my daughter knows it is adult words only and she is not to repeat them. No swearing just would not work in my family. But I don't think swearing is needed in anything to make it good. So I disagree that we need it in theme park rides.

There are words that are riskier than others that can be used instead of actual curse words.

I've gave a very poor example. Profanity is not a reason to make a ride adult only, that's obviously ridiculous but it could be added to an adult only version of a ride.

I've never experience HHN nor do I think I will as it's very unlikely I'll get time off work at that time of the year. I think I'd like a taste of it in a permanent ride.

It doesn't even need to be adults only but perhaps have a ride that's recommended for mature audiences only.

They had that at the Magic Kingdom. It was called Alien Encounter. All the warnings in the world in line couldn't save it from the flood of complaints.

Well, HHN is recommended for ages 13+ and I still see plenty of little kids running around during the event. It's one thing to "recommend" something, but that doesn't mean that the guests will follow the recommendation.

It's just a impractical thing to ask for, not to mention a company that is looking at these parks as money machines would never make a ride that's adults only. It cuts down on the audience significantly and on merch sales. Kids are a large reason why tourists spend so much money on vacations. Take them out and you aren't going to sell much outside of passholders/fans.

It was actually Alien Encounter that got me thinking about it funny enough. That ride gave me nightmares as a kid. Enough said really.

You're absolutely right. I should really just get my arse to HHN one year one way or another.

As did I, but those were also memories of myself at about Age 8-10, so I don't have a true recollection of if it was really awesome or if we just tend to think it's better than it was because it was a part of our vacations and growing up.

I love the pre-show for Stitch still and the Stitch AA is awesome Other than that, it's a pointless attraction that likely only still exists because of lack of vision alongside merch sales.

I was 16 when I did Alien Encounter. Did it two times. I remember it being very different, quite atmospheric. I don't really remember it being that scary though (then I have been into horror for as far back as I can remember, so perhaps I am not the best judge for that).

Like Teebin, I'm not really excited about the IP since I never had any interest in the games. But I am excited about what Universal Creative will do with the property. They won me over with HP, which I had no previous interest in. I'm confident they will hit this out of the park also. It will be fun to watch the progress on this.

So if @JungleSkip and I give you recommendations for points to get into would you guys be interested? We'd factor cost and bundle availability into it.

:) My gaming days are far behind. Just a little interest in the long ago days of Atari. But I do thank you for the offer. And, as I said, I'm sure Universal Creative will do something so good that I'll love the land....Good day so far, my alma mater Slippery Rock University is blowing out West Chester 54-12 in the fourth quarter for the State Conference championship. Go Rock.

Goodness, I have received confirmation. I have such a good analogy for it, but I am forced to hold off. I cannot imagine liking the franchise so much that they would throw the everything including the kitchen sink at it as they are.

It will perhaps be the adventures of spider man as it was witnessed in 1999 if it works.

I would think WDW finally waking up with Star Wars is spurning them on to really make a huge splash.

VERY! I grew up in the 8-bit era, bought the original NES when I was 11 and loved games since.

What I find most fascinating about the Nintendo IP is that I think it's the first time that Universal has an IP that will have passed down a generation. There will be a lot of people in their late 20s/early 30s who grew up with these games and they will now have young kids who will have grown up with them also.

I think I'm of a certain age now that I'm starting to appreciate the bonding experience that rides like this can have and Disney have dominated this with Mickey Mouse and the nostalgia that many people will have when their parents took them to Disneyland/world when they were young and that they can now recreate that feeling with their own kids.

And now you've added this into the mix.
