I haven't seen the movie yet, maybe this weekend, but just by watching the trailers I could think of a few ride concepts.

Also...that Nemo ride is terrible...it's basically 3 minutes of looking a TV screens and hearing "NEMO, NEMO, NEMO, NEMO"

Are we really comparing Inside Out to The Phantom Menace?

His point was that in addition to being an IP that fits in quite well with the Imagination pavilion, it demonstrated franchise potential with its massive opening despite being an original property... meaning it's actually plausible Disney would consider inserting it into the area.

Ha Ha not at all, just talking about gross numbers.

I don't think he means just the ride.... which by the way, is miles better than the Disneyland version, which takes an eternity to get on and feels like an eternity when you're on it.

Just saw the movie, I fully support this coming to Epcot. It's the perfect fit, characters in Epcot be damned. WOL would be my preferred location.

You are out of your mind, the DL ride is phenominal in every way. The fact your underwater is worth it all alone!!!! But back on topic I wouldn't count on dream finder anytime ever

Saw inside out tonight, and I can honestly say it's time to throw figment in the pit of lost memories. There is so much they could do with a proper attraction. It almost seems too obvious.

If not Journey Into Imagination, why not the Magic Eye theater? It boggles my mind that they haven't repurposed this theater with like 4 different properties by now. And as you can judge by my avatar, this is coming from someone obsessed with Captain EO.

At this point, even just getting a meet and greet of the Inside Out characters in the exit area of Imagination would be a huge improvement. Say what you will about the current attraction, but there is a vast sense of emptiness once off the attraction as almost nothing there seems to be in working order. Of course any meet and greet could also easily be put in the former shop next to the exit area of the Magic Eye theater, an unused empty space that almost everyone forgets about.

Putting IO in the Magic Eye Theater or even (yea I know but it has to be said) the former Cranium Command theater is like Frozen in Maelstrom but even worse. An absolute waste of potential.

However, combining the theater and ride? Now you have my attention.

Having just watched the movie I get why people think it could overhaul Imagination...but aside from them just going into ImaginationLand, I still think Inside Out is a better fit for Wonders of Life. Let them have their redo of Cranium Command...and maybe even an entertaining dark ride discussing the human body. It disgusts me that WDW is letting the WoL building basically rot.

I say tear down the Magic Eye theater and expand the heck out of Figments ride!

From what I understand, they basically use the building for storage and for extra space during big events/private events.

So it's not necessarily going to rot, but the space could definitely be better used for something. Wonders of Life needs to come back, have a place for kids to learn about the human body again.

Epcot likes to have their pavilions be funded by sponsorship, I believe that's why WOL just faded away. But a successful movie like Inside Out could maybe draw a sponsor to re-open the pavilion, I hope.

If you loved it now, I can't imagine what your thoughts would have been in 1990.

What's the matter Skip, you don't think that an Inside Out Pavilion would fit well with the Nemo Pavilion and the Frozen Pavilion?

I'm ok with IPs, as long as they expand upon the vision for Epcot...remains to be seen for Frozen, but Nemo does not do this

I guess, for me, I just want some differentiation in the parks. The way things are going, DHS and EPCOT are curving more towards an MK-like experience. That's fine for DHS, as the park has never been all that good and never had a strong identity. But EPCOT becoming character focused more and more basically guarantees I don't need to spend time there going forward. Why shell out for more days at Disney when 3 parks offer varying degrees on the same thing?

I'd love to spend more time at WDW. A lot of people probably won't believe that, but it's the truth. Right now, they're not really giving me compelling reasons to plan more time there. Right now I can still just do 3-4 days there and 3-4 days at UOR.

None of the Disney/Pixar-related stuff technically expands upon the vision for EPCOT. I think we can all agree that these new overlays are simply a means of getting people to go into these rides that normally have what I assume is low foot traffic. I mean, it's not like people go to EPCOT just for Seas and Maelstrom.
