I can't believe this thread exists.
Yes, an AA heavy ride in the space of the Toon Lagoon theater would be great. But why is there so much confidence that the Secret Life of Pets is going to be what this will be? It doesn't fit Islands of Adventure at all. IOA is a bonafide theme park. Each land has a definite, established world, and even those that don't (like Kong) have their own mythos behind them. Kong is breaking the original IOA theme of literature, but at least with Skull Island we are getting something with mythos.
This...kid movie being plopped in the middle of Marvel and Toon makes no sense. It takes place in what, New York? Are we getting another New York at Islands? Maybe we should get a subway ride that connects both NYs and requires a 2-park pass in order to ride. I know we don't really know anything about this movie, but I doubt it's gonna have the staying power of the Minions in movie theaters, let alone a theme park.
It's a tasteless and dumb rumor. New tech is great for a ride, but if Creative sat down in a room and thought that this was the franchise to use it on and to put it into Islands of Adventure of all places is a disgusting thought and would serve as the beginning of a creative decline at Universal.
