Then there is more than one version out there! I thought he was scratching his butt in the first one but Universal tweeted it today and I just watched again and he is humping it. Picture coming. Can't get hands on twitter vid.

Yeah, definitely two versions. The one alexshow posted he is scratching his butt, the one on the Uni twitter he is humping the mouse. Interesting that they have two versions. I get that sometimes you have different trailers for different audiences, but, in this case, as its a kids movie, why have two versions?

They are probably putting out feelers for what the public will accept. They should have at least one character that is humpy crazy attempting everything in the room. That would slaughter me...

Especially with Boxtrolls, you can very well retheme Popeyes with it and it could work damn well.

My main hope for the eventual Toon Lagoon re-branding is that Universal uses Lakia and not just Illumination. I don't care if theres a minions dark ride, I'd want a Coraline dark ride so bad. It is the perfect IP to do a Transformers/FJ Esque dark ride and you can get everyone from that film to be involved in a way.

Hell, I will always confess that Coraline is my dream IP for if they do a Universal Animated area, strictly due to the endless possibilities you can do. And especially at night, you can do amazing things to the façade of it aswell for a Dark ride.

That being said, back to TSLoP for me, I'm really fasincated to see how Universal Tackles this, both technologically and on the physical elements to it aswell. Its something I can not wait for and I can't wait to see the end-game for it.

Agreed. Coraline, ParaNorman, and The Boxtrolls are some of my favorite films released the past few years. I would love an attraction based on any of these. I'm glad Universal at least had the meet & greets for ParaNorman and Boxtrolls tied to their film releases.

I though Boxtrolls was a beautifully animated and warm family film. And would make an awesome aa heavy dark ride.

I don't like this idea. The movie hasn't been released and they already have a ride planned? This has Van Helsing written all over it.

Total opposite for me sure it's a (educated) gamble but I love the absolute confidence Universal has in their product.
And what a prize if the (educated) gamble pulls off, they will have a fantastic new attraction in operation whilst the I.P is both hot and current.

And if it flops???? well we all have a new new trackless to play on eace:

I seriously have no idea how they'll do AAs for this. Would the pets be life sized or larger than life? So odd

^ I would think it would be somewhat like the characters in the Winnie the Pooh ride. Size wise, I would say they could be life size or just 20% larger for readability and robotic effects. I would hope it is far more elaborate and longer than WtP and I suspect it will be with the proposed number of animated characters being so high.

NBC ran the trailer during the Macy's Parade broadcast. Big time push more than 7 months before the release date.

I hope they take time to make it atmospheric. I mean as far as making it feel like you are inside a world (like Splash or Mystic Manor) instead of just riding by blank walls with a talking AA around each corner (like Pooh and Cat in the Hat). I'm hoping for a more deeper experience.

They'll most likely have a big "outdoor" streets of NY scene with some randomization like most trackless rides. So hard to judge this since the movie won't be out for half a year lol
