What's the logic behind sticking this attraction into Toon Lagoon? It's a cartoon so...there ya go?? Is that it?

It'll be more like kong where it's kind of it's own little thing and not apart of an existing island

Because that's where there's an unused plot of land?

Yes, fit it into a usable space makes sense. The back story can always be concocted later.

I mean... I don't think it's any more of a leap to that than it is from comic strips to Jay Ward cartoons. It's still vastly better than Frozen and Nemo in Epcot or Avatar in Animal Kingdom, or Monsters, Inc. in Tomorrowland, or Star Wars behind the Rivers of America, or any number of a thousand goofy things Disney has been doing over the past twenty years.

Avatar and the message of the movie perfectly fit in theme at DAK. You'd be hard-pressed to find a different IP that would work better.

On paper it does, but it just seems like such a left turn from anything else at the park. Everything just seems to naturally fit together, with the exception of Dino-Rama. I imagine it being strange walking into this one section of the park that is based on an IP and has no basis in reality even more than mythical creatures. I also feel like the conservation message will be even more tricky with this theme, I think it will be harder to integrate that message into Avatar attractions without beating you over the head with it like Kilimanjaro Safaris used to do. But it's all speculation until it opens and it could actually turn out to be more of a Splash Mountain scenario where it fits in just fine even though the theme doesn't quite technically align.

Avatar fits DAK about as well as dropping Wall.E by Avatar and Tatooine in Africa. Maybe throw Kong in for good measure.

Just because it has "Animals" and conservation is mentioned doesn't mean it fits. That truly is about as shallow as Frozen in Norway.

The overal theme of DAK was already shot when Disney's proposal for a certain property years ago was to put it into DAK too.

It's not that it has "animals" that it fits. The message of conservation and use of mythical animals, which has always been something that DAK embraces.

Either way, I don't care. It's gonna look cool and DAK is getting many other upgrades because of it. Hopefully the rides will match the theming.

This looks exactly like the vehicle used in the Antarctica attraction at SeaWorld.

Bout' time someone looked into putting AA's on the motion bases/RV's, Tokyo briefly showed the possibilities with that in Pooh's Hunny Hunt with static figures so I was hoping someone would try pulling it off with AA's.

Why do I have the strangest feeling for that effect..that it may not even come for the endgame product..

I think hes just showing the technology that'd be possibly used for that effect, as I doubt we'll see a car similar to Antarcticas and more..possibly to MM's vein and the Justice League: Battle For Metropolis ride cars in that regard. It may just be me on that matter though..

Surprised it's taken them this long. We had E.T. on the bikes and of course Rex/C3PO on Star Tours, so this seems like the next natural step. And motion bases, all by Oceaneering no shock. (Man what an "f you" to SeaWorld this is)

So it's a Pets attraction... before the AA was mentioned I was guessing the RV would be a dog bowl but now, hmm

Also makes sense, that if Slop is somewhat of a prototype for Mario Kart, the latter would be awesome if it utilized RV's with animatronic rather than people, so as a guest we'll be fully immersed in racing with Mario characters.

It isn't even close. Both rides will be completely different from each other.
