If the attraction is anything like what I’ve seen the ride has a similar situation to HE, with the queue on the first floor and ride on the second.

True, but someone said in another thread that if Pets gets relocated to the upper lot (which it apparently has), then plans have changed to involve SCREENZ due to it being a smaller space.

I see this more like Transformers where you enter, half queue is on the second story, other half on the first floor. First half of the ride on the first floor, second on the entire third floor. They still would have all of the space for the physical scenes while only using screens as transitions between floors.

I’m not aware of that change at this point.

I would think with Forbidden Forest at IOA, SNW, and the original SloP concepts would prove that Universal wants to get away from using heavy screen based attractions.

I'd be surprised if they take out AAs and make it a screen based attraction.

I think if this attraction is going fully practical, it would be the first time in more than a decade that Universal treat its own IP with proper respect and not a 3d screen rip-off like Skull Island at IOA is. I wonder how this attraction would play out? Would it recreate scenes from the movie or be some min-sequel like T23d?

I really hope this is on track to open next year, although I would see this 2020 at the earliest.

I'm hoping that they're going to go Transformers on this project, getting it up ASAP for the lost capacity that will come if Mummy closes at the end of the year.

I’m guessing if this happens that corner of the park will be branded as a new land themed to Illuminations.

Sorry to say it but, told you so.

With this, do you see a possibility of the entire street getting a makeover?

From why I’ve seen of the ride it’s incredibly compact, so they won’t have to cut practical scenes to fit in a small location.

It’s much more of a Fantasyland Dark Ride than a big E-ticket

I’ve never seen the original plans. Would you say that this is more of an more elaborate Cat in the Hat?

I'd say that's very fitting from what I have also seen.

Early on, the comparison was made to Hunny Hunt from TDL if I'm not mistaken. If they stick to the original plans, them that is a fair comparison.

That'd be a good comparison. It'd be a way better ride than Cat currently is. But when it comes to the scope, the two are similar

Has it always been designed this way or is this due to budget cuts?

It’s not IJA but it’s bigger in scope than Pooh or SWSA.

It is, but it's not ALL that bigger. It's still a smaller attraction than most are used to when it comes to big Universal additions

It's exactly what the park needs right now. A fun, high-tech, practical, family dark ride.

Too bad, if the ride turns out to be really perfect, it might close for HHN.

Last I've seen the attraction does a new adventure, not the movie. But it revisits some of the same areas. Introduces a new character. Nine scenes. The attraction is compact (doesn't require much space) but still clocks in at around 4 minutes. Trackless 5 to 6 person vehicles. Some Mobile AA's. Pretty High capacity. Very Disneylike in its makeup. Mostly practical sets. Looks like it will be an excellent, very much fun, attraction.
