Yeah, we are actually staying onsite so we're planning on being there prior to park opening. Anyone know or heard what time the official grand opening of the ride will be? I'm sure they will do some kind of little show too?

It sounds more like a guest selection (such as in Monster's Inc) than a plant.

I got to meet and hang out with the live Tweeting people form @StarTours2Live today at HS. They said there is an exclusive event that people signed up for on the night of the 19th. It will be a celebration of sorts of the ride opening, then with general public who got on some Disney blog list that filled up in like 5 minutes online, will get a chance to ride from Midnight-2am on the morning of the 20th. I'd love to have gotten in that action, or been a part of the lucky 200 or so that's on the Disney list. Does anyone know this list that @StarTours2Live is referring to? It was an online blog that posted, where people could email in their info. They only took around 200 general public, but I'm curious where this is posted. I'm going to do some diggin, it may even be buried in this thread somewhere.

Hey, I didn't come up with the thing. Blame Disney and their perverted minds, not me and mine!!!

UPDATE: My CM friend has announced to me that he has the chance to ride Star Tours 2 before it opens as part of a CM preview. I'll report back on his first impressions after he rides it.
