Last of Us 2 comes out in May and is going to be huuuuuge.

Resident Evil 3 Remake comes out soon and if it's anything like the RE2 remake, it will be very popular. The RE2 remake was a smash hit and made a ton of money while garnering excellent reviews.

I'm not a Bioshock guy but my fiancée is - and I do think it could make an excellent house, even to people that have no clue what it is. Like a good version of Depths of Fear.

Depths of Fear was great - especially when losing the suits made them work harder and vary the scares.

I second this suggestion! I wonder why HHN hasn't explored the video game genre more? Is it harder to get permission for the IPs? There are plenty of IPs to choose from.

I don't think its probably harder to get the permission as it is working with the source material, there was a lot of source material they needed go through with both RE and Silent Hill for sure but with Silent Hill they based their house more on the recent film Revelations than the game itself.

Well, the only one they've done was Resident Evil (Silent Hill was based on the movie, right?) and it wasn't very well received. I would imagine it'd be easier to do original versions of any video game concept, rather than pay for a super-niche IP - which all but the toppy-top games are.

As much as I think we could get those, I think Hollywood would probably get those than us, we are probably just lucky to have gotten Rob, Black Sabbath should have come to us before but that too was Hollywood.

When you talk about game IP's coming to HHN it is like walking on egg shells...
I know many people on here that do not like the appearance of kids at the event (and that is completely justified) and with that you have to be careful what you wish for, because it could end up attracting more kids then adults.

It's ironic cuz the video game IP I want most Is Bendy and the ink machine and that will most likely draw a lot of younger kids.

The age limit rule I've been hearing about with adult supervision is honestly great in my opinion. I was getting a Choco Milkshake last year and when it was done they set on the counter and when I went to grab it some 14-15ish year came and snatched it and ran like hell. I ended up getting another one in the end up holy poop that kinda distributed me. The team member said they called security but I didn't really care. Just goes to show that teens need to be supervised. They won't stop coming to the event but it may prevent future disruptions.

ST definitely was apart of that damage for the most part too with kids coming to the event but I mean it also gave Universal more ideas to try to do the 80s theme finally which I didn't mind these last two years.

I wasn't able to do Depths of Fear after the suits disappeared, but I did hear it got a lot better.

It does seem like they are weary to obtain a video game IP, but it seems to be something a lot of people would like to see.

As far as music - I do think a Rob Zombie house would be interesting after the zone last year.

I agree ST opened up that can of worms. Also more and more parents let their kids watch shows with mature content/issues. Heck there were kids at my child's elementary school that followed The Walking Dead. But this last year I noticed many kids at the event under the recomended age limit. Babies in strollers and young ones being carried through houses with their face buried in their parents shoulders. I havent been annoyed by any kids at all but as a parent I feel bad for the child being carried through a haunted house. I started going to local haunted houses when I was 11. IDK, I just dont want the content/quality/intensity to change now young ones can attend. Do u think US would raise the age limit back up or would that be too much of a big deal?

It’s so groan-inducing, ya’ll completely missed it because it’s not on your shortlist of stuff HHN “would” do.

I literally gave y’all the answer.

You're not talking about Dr. Who, right?

If there's just one family property, fine.

Yeah and Legacy also said it was his "most recent clue." Dr. Who was a few clues ago soooo...

I assume this clue is the soccer player one?

Ya know I wouldn't hate that.

I don't know anything about Dr. Who... does it contain any horror elements whatsoever?

So. Chris on the Hollywood side is saying a major groaner of a property is being shared.

Thoughts on what it could be? My completely uneducated guess is Black Christmas.

Oh God would this be just awful. Worst horror movie I've seen in a long, long time - and don't see how it translates to a competent house.

Well this has all taken a bit of a Christmas turn, so there could be something here.
