Would they be escorted by security back to their car or forbidden from riding the tram?

I'm probably on a list now for asking this but I'm just curious. America is fascinating.

I would guess it's probably a case by case basis. I would assume they would at least want to watch the guest until they left. I do know first hand of one who rode the Disney bus back to his Disney hotel to return the gun.

Yeah the only way someone is going to get arrested is if they don't have a valid permit and hence those are the only one's we will ever hear about. If someone is found to have a gun and has a permit they are simply asked to leave. This happens countless times and since Disney only checks randomly it's very likely on any given day there are people in the parks carrying guns. It's far more common than most realize.

I mean when you have as many people in the parks as Disney does, it's something I almost expect given their porous security. All signs point to Security being made tighter (specifically around the MK Resort area), but WDW has it's work cut out for them to make areas as safe as what Universal has going right now.

Universal was very lucky in that they have a perfect area to set up 20+ metal detectors/bag scanners all at once and then you're good for the rest of your visit seeing as CityWalk, IOA and USF are all within the "Safe Zone". WDW's "Blessing of size" is to their detriment when it comes to making areas as safe as they should be. When your resort is basically it's own, self contained city, it makes it virtually impossible to make sure everywhere is safe (or as safe as humanly possible) like Universal can.

If it's Mary Poppins, I don't think Disney would even ask the UK for money  why would they need to ask the country to fund any movie-based attractions when Disney owns the rights to that particular film? There's no significant risk to adding a family-friendly dark ride featuring what many consider Walt Disney's masterpiece to an area similar to Mary Poppins's set design.

Ratatouille in France and Mary Poppins in the UK could be greenlit pretty easily once their respective countries give TDO the all-clear. I don't think Disney would ask France or the UK to pay for those dark rides unless they're completely factual/serious.

I didn't realise it was a myth that the countries paid for their pavilions. Given how Disney have relied on sponsorship for a lot of attractions at EPCOT, it made perfect sense in my head.

I think it's a slightly controversial topic about Disney adding rides to the World Showcase but I'm all for it.

I'm kind of surprised they haven't come up with some plan to use the ride building in Japan. They seem to prefer to repurpose existing stuff rather than building new right now.

I can see the reason why they done it for Frozen so they could get it open as soon as possible (by Disney standards) but I don't think this is something that's needing to be rushed so they may have the flexibility to build something from scratch if they need to.

The only deadline I can see is the resorts 50th anniversary.

Do you have any ideas for a Japan ride out of interest?

The ride building in Japan is currently being utilized as office space. Obviously office space can be moved rather easily, but they aren't going to up and move an entire office unless they have the perfect project and are able to get it approved.

No not really, it's just amazing though they've let a ride building go unused for over 30 years.

Yeah office space at Disney is ever changing and will creep into many unused areas.

Chapek has now confirmed from DestinationD that Epcot will be undergoing a Transformation in the near future, that'll be staying true to the original vision of EPCOT..

Question! Who's/Which vision are they talking about? For there's Walt's vision of a city/community which may be a tad hard to replicate at the moment, or are they talking about the vision which they couldn't even agree what it was about and ultimately didn't work with most of the general public, leading to a identity crisis that did gain a fanbase, however it's still the Butt-Monkey of theme parks? (Not to mention the Frozen ride that had everyone up in arms was put in because said original vision didn't work.) No matter what vision they're trying to stay true to, good luck with that.

Yeah, supposedly he wants the creative team to "dream big." We'll see.

I think it will be their vision of IP driven attractions and food, wine, flower, garden and food festivals.

When Chapek says 'original vision for EPCOT,' I'm thinking it means 'IP-based edutainment' for Future World (or whatever it's renamed) and 'IP-based travelogues' for World Showcase. Not that there isn't potential.

Energy could become a general science-based attraction (biology, chemistry, physics, geology, etc.) featuring Muppet Labs, helping to avoid any real dating of the attraction. Inside Out for WoL and a Marine Life Institute revamp for the Seas are no-brainers. A health-based Innoventions replacement could feature Baymax.

I'm curious as to whether this 'vision' means 'original' or 'IP-based.' Also, how many attractions would World Showcase get? I'd think Ratatouille is the only serious proposal. The UK could get a Mary Poppins attraction if the sequel becomes a hit, but what else might they consider doing?

I'd be curious if WoL/Energy could become Tron with a retheme of the area surrounding that, Mission Space and TT to more of the future of automobile technology.

I'm actually all for this and think it would be a decent compromise between Epcot past and future.

I believe a lot of aesthetic changes that people will swoon over but nothing substantial or concrete that will help the park in the long run.

I'd rather see a fully-enclosed version of the Lightcycles in Shanghai than the GotG coaster. At least TRON could be edutainment-like in its queue and post-show areas about computer programming, etc. Plus, coupled with a revamped M:S, there wouldn't be as much stress on Test Track.

I still think Muppet Labs and Inside Out would be good replacements for Energy and WoL, but Imagination and the expansion pad between Land/Seas are always options, too. I'm intrigued to see what happens.

Yeah, I have to imagine there will be some enjoyable cosmetic changes, but I'll be floored if we actually get anything meaningful or even fun.
