Is it too late to switch out Hop for The Lorax? It made 70 million this weekend.

It would not be hard if nothing else to toss a costumed character walking with that parade.

That being said either there or they will have a very popular Meet n Greet with Seuss Landing since Spongebob and Despicable Me characters have enough to carry this venue on their own.

I'm pretty sure they will swap it out during the summer month's since there doing hop because the parade starts around easter.

I hope this parade is just as good as the Mardi Gras Parade!

It will be much smaller than the Mardi Gras parade in terms of length but it will be a moving show dance party sort of concept. However the themed floats are of great quality and not of a seasonal parade like Mardi Gras.

The people that designed this parade are also very excited about it, so that helps.

OK I need to eat crow a bit...

So more information... It is going to be long past the 15th when this parade debuts. A few more weeks of rehearsal's have been scheduled with a week break, and then more rehearsal.

Word on the street is that they are learning serious dance moves for this parade and that everything is pretty tight lipped. So we will see. I will have to say I am sorry about being wrong for the 15th, but it looks like May might be the soonest we will see this parade.

That's right, but they did share similar projects names with only the AM/PM as differences.

Ok update:

Rehearsal's are ending officially in the first week in May.

So your guess is as good as mine right now when the first technical rehearsals will be along with shows.

I do agree. But I am letting you know the rehearsal schedules for the performers to help us devise an opening date.

I would think that Universal will want this running for a week or so before Memorial day to work out the kinks with crowd control and flow before Memorial Day.

So it seems that Universal has 2 crews training for this parade right now. Crew 1 is full-time and crew 2 is part-time. Crew 2 is currently on a 2 week break, while crew 1 continues training.

Everything is adding up for what I believe will be an early may debut. More information to come as I learn more.
