Sounds like a Universal version of Great Wolf Lodge or something. Hopefully smaller parks/attractions don't dillute the brand and keep people away from the bigger parks.

Google tells me Islands of Adventure is 101 acres and Studios is 125. Not much smaller overall, but that 97 acres includes expansion and hotels.

This looks like something Merlin Entertainment Group could have come up with. It's for families with small kids, cheap to build, nicely themed and a place to pre-cook their ip's in little kids brain so they can move on to the current parks when they are older. Smart move, lo risk and looking how good Merlin is doing a smart financial move when successful and easy to copy to other states.
