A mountain that incorporates every part of the park would be pretty cool...It would serve as a projection surface for a night show

I somewhat wish you did it to be more like Far Far Away, with Mordor's Mount Doom. ;)

I get the vibe that they are basing their ideas off of Laketown and The Lonely Mountain, but god I hope it's more Rivendell and Mordor if LoTR is happening..

I don't see Universal making a LOTR land without Mordor.

I had a thought today of how they could have the eye of Sauron actually. It would only be on at night because at the top of the tower would be mist nozzles making a water screen for the eye to be projected on from behind. It’s actually a pretty simple way to do it

I like the mountain idea but it would take up a ridiculous amount of land and to be something truly epic, it would cost a fortune. I would say that having Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain and probably Fire Mountain at some point it could be confusing but all signs point to the icon being a castle so who knows.

That could actually be terrifying. The mist would sell this so well.

What rides would potentially be in a LOTR land, anyways? I don't really know the IP.

I don't know the IP either which is weird because I saw Return of the King 3 times in the cinema having not seen the first two but I figure it's an IP they can't afford to mess up which means they'll produce something amazing.

In The Hobbit, a few come into mind like a ride based off of the Barrel River scene in Desolation of Smaug, a ride/show within The Lonely Mountain, or if they go and use LoTR making attractions inspired by moments in the books and films.

Maybe this is where we get the park's major water ride? Also, would a coaster fit into the land at all?

Honestly, I would be shocked if LoTR got a coaster, as it's somewhat out of place.

Damn. I wonder what coasters we will get, other than Donkey Kong (possibly). There's going to be at least three, probably more.

But it's very likely. Just look at IOA and USF. IOA could possibly get two coasters in one year. USF currently has four coasters.

The only thing that is rumored as of now with more serious concrete, is the River Adventure project, not a new coaster.

And to be honest, who's to say whatever they could add to the Trikes, isn't a coaster?

As for timelines..

USF
2000 - Nuthouse
2004 - Mummy
2009 - Rockit

IOA
The Incredible Hulk - 1999 with it going down for renovations in 2015 to open in 2016
Dueling Dragons/Dragon Challenge - 1999 to 2017
The Flying Unicorn/Flight of The Hippogriff - 2000

I barely count Gringotts as a Coaster, as that thing is more dark ride than thrill ride.

Wow. I didn’t look up a video at all but seeing it now it’s amazing how well it could work.

I would like to see an interactive darkride for Middle Earth Spideman like (real scenes mixed with screens).
You and you fellow travelers go on a quest trough middle earth. Gandalf is helping you on the way as he pops op telling you directions. Regarding the choices your fellowship makes you get different scenarios. You could go trough a beautiful forest or a scary grotto. It's like a choose your own adventure book.

And I would like the have a new type of drop ride like this fight:

Imagine stand up coaster seats on a robot arm on a drop tower. They could spin you literally in every direction.
