^ Yup, one of the few sets of any significance missing. Even the exterior facade isn't complete - like the great hall, it is cut off by the soundstage roof and completed on-screen by VFX.

Wow, long time no post. Heh.

That's unfortunate, that you can't see a completed set on the exhibit, but I guess it's realistic to the movie-making process, with all their green screens and digital additions. I still wanna make it out there sometime in the next few years to visit the studio. I love everything about the behind-the-scenes, learning about the creative process, and all the technical aspects and tricks. I hope to go soon!

PS: Welcome back to posting!

If only they were using a scissor lift they wouldn't have had to use a harness, unless they were using the outrigger.

I don't think anyone has asked this before but will the gringotts bank coaster have a single rider line?

Hello to all the newbies

Great update, moving at pace now. Could do with this construction team at Alton Towers.

Any Info on what we can expect from the themeing of Hogwarts station. Be cool if was a typical small countryside station, like in the film.

In other news, I love this picture. Would be great if they had little details like the milk jugs waiting to be loaded, which they probably will have.

^ That was the first movie I believe. The later films portrayed the Hogsmeade station as a gothic stone building... much like the station/locker area in IOA's Hogsmeade. The later station was also located in a forest.

Thanks BJ! You succeed where most of us scream and tear our hair out when it comes to searching for the detailed stuff/proof of concept. I did, and I did, and I did.

Sad that they will have to plant those scrawny fake spruce knockoffs... but you can't have everything in Florida.

From @OrlandoInformer

Confirmed: both tracks of Dragon Challenge closed at least "two weeks" for maintenance @UniversalORL

Maybe the best pic of the [HASHTAG]#HarryPotter[/HASHTAG] construction at USF @UniversalORL I've taken (and no, I didn't sneak backstage)

I wonder when they are going to rip out the existing Hogwarts Express/Hogsmeade station, where the lockers will go, and what they will put there?

Is that little train actually leaving? I always thought it made a great photo op.

If the decisions were up to me, I'd leave that station and HE engine prop right there. It's one of the most popular photo ops in all of UOR.
The station we have now seems like a pretty spot-on replica of the movie version, but I don't think that's gonna work dimension-wise for the actual station where we'll load the real train.
