I can always see a dirt pile when I'm there.

All the 'dirt' is actually pure sand. In Florida, it is very easy to come by as there so many detention/retention ponds dug for water runoff control. I.E. if there is a new Walmart being built there will be a massive pond dug to handle the parking lot runoff.

They made Emma wear a wig for the epilogue when they had to reshoot it, so I would say she'd wear one again for any ride related stuff.

I don't believe either Emma or Dan have been confirmed for ride footage.

IIRC, Rupert and Helena (for Gringotts, I'd imagine), and the Phelps twins (for WWW) have either filmed scenes or have agreed to be involved. I'll be very surprised if Emma or Dan make appearances, though I'd be happy to be proven wrong.

So while the land as a whole might not have a specific time period, Gringotts is most likely set around the time of Deathly Hallows, if Bellatrix will be in there.

Put whether or not Dan and Emma want to have any part of this aside for second. Do any of you think that some fans might be upset if there is no actual "Harry Potter" sightings in the rides?

Dan said he's done with Harry Potter so I highly doubt he'll be in here.

I know but money talks right  Universal throws him a cool millions to put on a robe and say avada kadavra for one more time you think he would turn that down? Or maybe JK has a nice sit down with him and convinces him to do it, who knows.

I know Olivanders won't be because it would have been closed.

Right, it looks like each attraction will be like a little vignette from the stories, without any overall set time period. (Just like Phase I)

I actually would prefer if Harry, Hermione, and Ron are not in the expansion.

What I most admire about J.K's writing is her ability to create an alternate world that is populated with characters that aren't only credible, but seem to live and breath even in the margins. Even when tangential characters like Cho Chang or Garrick Ollivander aren't present in a particular scene or even in an entire book, as a reader, I always felt sure that they were there in the periphery, living their lives and going about their magical business.

We already get to visit with the trio in Hogsmeade, so I think it would be grand if we get to encounter other characters in Diagon Alley.

Wow, couldn't have said it better myself! Totally agree! I think it's time now for minor characters, maybe as I read earlier having an introduction by Ollivanders them him leaving for seomthing important and leaving us with his assistant, I would like to see the twins testing out some products (would be really funny, especially for kids watching the reactions), and ugh so many things in my mind!
