Your hoping for it to be open by when? September 2014? And congrats on 17 years, my wife and I have been together for 11 years but only married for nearly 3.

Thanks guys, I am hoping for an opening by Sep 2014 for phase 2. We will be there from looking at dates around the 3rd Sep 14 for an entire month. Longer then us, we have been together for 7 years so far. We are thinking of Cypress Grove for the venue as we just want a quick wedding. Cannot wait!

HTF could you explain how the new train station will be connected to the IOA side? Will they guests just travel down a heavily landscaped path that feeds to the archway and original entrance to the island?

Considering the lines at IoA, I think these views are not shared by the majority of those at Mugglenet, let alone those who visit IoA.

Mugglenet isn't even close to the majority of harry potter fanatics, they are the hardcore of the hardcore of the hardcore crowd. There was something similar for the Fallout franchise called No Mutants Allowed, and pretty much every one of them called Fallout 3 a disgrace to the franchise and threw ever bad word at it you could think of. When Fallout 3 broke records for the franchise, they still hated it with a passion for not being a "true" fallout game.

Mugglenet is No Mutants Allows for Harry Potter, and can be safely ignored as being too extreme to the franchise. When the creator of the franchise signs off on something, but these rapid fans don't like it, you can pretty safely assume they'll hate anything new.

Good question, I am also interested in how the path would work. It kind of seems the path is outside of WWoHP, and running along LC themed buildings.

Wait there was a Fallout 1 and 2? I thought it was just a made up number like Oceans 11 or Windows 7. Ah just kidding, but that is the only one I have played. And it is true that it opened up the game to a much wider audience.

As for Mugglenet, I was simply pointing out that I found many of the comments about Phase II funny. But it is understandable that they may not fall into line with the theme park mentality, as that is not what the forum is about. That is why we have this awesome forum called Orlando United!!! If you have yet to do so I suggest you join up :peace:

Which reminds me, they should be announcing Fallout 4 soon!

( Hopefully for next gen)

Hi guys long time lurker and huge HP fan. Never been to the WWoHP (I'm waiting till this phase is complete).

Anyway does anyone have an idea as to what the Hogsmeade station will look like. Im assuming its similar to the one in OotP as oppose to the one in the first movie. Also the landscaping outside the station... we have an idea what the London waterfront landscaping is like but what about Hogsmeade.

:welcome: Sherber_Lemon! I believe HTF has mentioned that the Hogsmeade station will look similar to the one we already have, which is like the one in OotP. Beyond that, probably a whole lot of pine trees :p

Felipe is correct. Besides all the trees there will also be rock walls.

So a thought occurred to me while reading this Wiki Page...

What if Universal (for a great upcharge or maybe even MAKE A WISH), when building the Leaky Cauldron, made it possible for someone to sleep there? As in room 11 like Harry Potter did? Sure there are other things you would have to consider..making sure they stay there but how cool would that be??

I'm with you on this. I brought this up over a year ago as a super exclusive hotel option. I think my original proposal was like 25-50 rooms at 1000-2500 per night. You would have 24 hour room service as well being allowed down stairs in the restaurant all hours of the night for food and beverage. Turn down service by a servant. Your own custom itinerary with numerous options of things like private potion and spell casting classes or meet and greets with house elfs.

The possibilities are endless and the more you offer the more they pay. How about after check in on your first night all "new" arrivals board a private car in the Hogwarts Express on your way to Hogsmeade. Upon arrival your escorted to the great hall for a feast. During the feast you go over all the activities you can do almost like a class orientation and for the big moment you put on a realistic sorting hat AA to tell you which house you belong in and why.

 Kind of got carried away there!

I would also love to have rooms in the second floor of the Leaky Cauldron! They could do it, if they wanted to, but it's unlikely. It would probably be quite expensive to stay there because it would cost Uni extra staff and extra measures, plus there would be a lot of restrictions when staying (like having to stay in the building from park close till park open the next day, etc...) BUT IT WOULD BE AWESOME!!! What if you could get a private tour of Diagon Alley and get to enjoy it all to yourself for the night... Amazing...

A candle lit midnight tour of Diagon Alley...

Granted I would never be able to pay that much money I have always wanted to stay in the parks overnight. But if Uni wanted to make even more bank...they've got their grand plot.

"We here at Orlando United would like to say a BIG your welcome, to you Universal Orlando. Enjoy the cash :)"
