I don't see the whole feature on their website, I hope someone puts it up on you tube or something.

So basically the big news special was a 5min segment where they said they think the 2 rides are Gringotts and the Hogwarts Express and that it will feature Diagon Alley.:inquisitive:

They did briefly show a new aerial view of where the track for the Hogwarts Express will split into two which was interseting.

Ha ha. The news always does stuff like that. Over hype and under deliver.

Well, never mind, I was originally right to expect to be underwhelmed... That preview video was either full of lies or they cut back... The
aerial shots were all sped up, that image that I got a still of did not show up on the feature, and there were no documents shown, only a mention that the state law allows theme parks to keep plans out of public record :inquisitive: The only good shot was of the Hogwarts Express track.

Good, it seems I didnt miss much, as this sounded like it was going to be a full fledged hour documentary special or something.

The video isn't up on WESH's site yet, probably because they'll re-air it on the 10pm news, but they have posted some 20 (small) aerial pics on their website. Here are a few:

I think this is going to feel very much like Diagon Alley from the first movie, crowded and crazy and awesome. I can't wait!

Question: Is the Hogwarts Express going to be in an enclosed space or will they just be trains going over those tracks which would be visible from different parts of the resort

The HE track is very visible from DC. Really curious if/how they're going to hide this during tests. It's one thing to see it once it's open, and another to see the train running down the tracks when its existence probably wont even be in most of the general public's awareness - regardless of an announcement.

The area that the train will be traveling through is entirely backstage, so we'll only see it when Universal wants is to (in other words, when its in or near one of the stations).

I think this is especially true if the vehicles themselves will look like the Hogwarts Express. People are going to recognize the trains. I think this is why the comment awhile back about track being visible from the queue for Twister: Ride It Out was not that crazy. The issue wouldn't so much be the view from the queue being ruined, but people seeing the Hogwarts Express and wanting to ride.

Awesome pictures and thanks for posting them and making them a little bigger to see, BJCool. I would have never known about these if it wasn't for this site and thanks to all who keep us informed here. Man, after seeing the size of this project, I just don't have the desire to go back to WDW for a long time and I would rather spend my time and money at USO.

^This may be just me, but I can't figure out how that part where the trains pass is going to work. It looks like the train would wouldn't be running on the track for a little bit? I'm sure it's all figured out and it's just something my brain isn't comprehending, but it's confusing to me.

^ that is not the actual track, only supports so far. To make it easier the whole structure is referred to as the track during discussions (track and stations...).
