It is ingenious, and will probably cut down on downtimes since there is not a propulsion system on the trains to break. The less moving parts, the better! And very "green", too!
One teeny downside with this system is it sounds like both stations are dependent upon each other being ready. For example, if there is, say, a guest with a disability that needs some extra time loading, or if someone throws up at one of the stations... the people at the opposite station are going to be twiddling their thumbs until it's resolved.
