Nice pics. Wasn't some of the track spotted at the park months ago?

Track has been installed for quite some time!

I also noticed that when coming out of the arcade for the Mummy and you look backstage, the track is CLEARLY visible.

Also when I rode Fire dragon yesterday, the building for the station provided an incredible close encounter with the train! It really equalizes the coasters with the close calls. As far as I saw there was no work being done but I got one pic from the guest areas.

That is what I was going to say too, but somehow the word leaching was no where to be found in my brain :bang: But dang have they had some problems with these posts anyways, looks like the patches still need some work.

Hey, I was also wondering if anyone knows of a link to a video of the "fake tourists"? (okay, I found a few and still don't get it? Okay pay some entertainers to be there, but have them being entertaining right.)

Dare i say wasted space for one ride. Youre getting more for your money with hp2

they didn't just take out the ride, they took out the games, shops, and eateries. So an attraction and an assortment of other venues for the price of an attraction and an assortment of other venues

Sure, the HE technically bumps up the attraction count to 2 in that area, but the majority of space it takes up is backstage in between US and IOA.

Yeah but the games got moved and the eateries you speak of will be nothing compared to the food we'll get in the expansion.

Yes, I do miss this stand. Wish they would have found a place for it because I loved the one with ice cream and strawberries :)

I'm just wondering, with the attendance figures coming out today. When this expansion opens, isn't it possible that it could have a negative effect on numbers for IOA?

I would seriously doubt it. People coming for Potter will want the total package, even if they have done Hogsmeade already. If for some reason the balance did become disrupted, they have have a bargaining chip up their sleeve with the HE. That's why they are keeping their options open as to who can ride it.

^A thousand times this. I know for a fact that if I went to Diagon Alley I'd be doing the whole experience - and HE is one of the biggest things for an HP fan. So I guarantee that everyone who's already been will take the train and go to Hogwarts again, because if you're an HP fan, you want to do Hogwarts again xD

At worst it should bring USF up to IOA numbers. Hopefully it will add guests to both.

Interesting thought and ideally this will happen.

Attendance is still rising at IOA just from Potter and aggressive marketing so I doubt the rise will stop anytime soon as people plan these trips year in advance. Both parks saw a healthy rise last year and guest spending is supposedly being reported as still incredible.

All in all if the resort benefits from an increase in either park as guests are spending money on property.

If you take the side trip away from attendance, and move to guest spending that's the good stuff. Two potters, with twice the product, Simpsons and Transformers all driving in park spending. Even the Transformers meet and greet driving photo sales. And if they convince someone to go with the two day ticket instead of one, that's twice the parking fee, twice the meals, and twice the chance at selling them stuff.

Another highlight, if they can spread the crowed hopefully they won't have to close IOA during that last week of the year.

Do you think Uni would copy Disneys "flying dragon" for the grand opening of DA. It would be awesome.

I think they'll do them one better and have a permanent dragon rather than a crap one that only appeared for one night at an invitation only press event.

Did that really happen? This is the first I'm seeing anything about this. How did they do that?
