It means at least one coaster car is moving around the track from beginning to end.

I figured this would be coming soon since we know they loaded at least one RV in there, but this is still very exciting news. Sounds like both rides are right on schedule, which is good news for a June opening and May softs.

^^^ This has been posted before. This was a presentation of tech that was given when proposals were made for the ride. This is nothing like the actual ride layout or what will happen on Gringotts.

This is pretty impressive. Who purposefully tests a ride system on location for 8 months? As I recall, the FJ ride vehicles were a somewhat similar test duration. Such discipline.

wasnt there a bunch of problems with FJ? Which delayed them even opening it at first? I remember that the actual section of the park opened for softs before the ride did. Possible they are making sure that doesnt happen again.

I think the biggest "hurdle" will be attempting to organize the huge crowds along with the new park to park "monorail" that will cause constant crowd burts into the area.

I am predicting that it will be a huge mess for at least 6 months.

They rallied pretty fast with Hogsmeade. I believe they will have thought out numerous scenarios and solutions this time around. I would suggest that everyone enjoys London long before Diagon opens. I feel confident the facade areas will be one great big queue with numerous switchbacks all the way to within 20' of the embankment.

Since the train dumps you outside of the area, crowd control into the HP areas won't be an issue. They will issue return times and use other methods to control flow into the areas. Trust me, they will have thought this out and not make the same mistake they made last time. It won't take 6 months to figure out crowd control, they will have a good working plan from day one.

Unless you mean they delayed softs for the entire of WWOHP due to FJ technical issues, but FJ was open day 2 of softs when I was able to get in, not sure on day one but presuming it was open as well.

I belive you are remembering incorrectly. I was there from day 1 of the soft opens and they had a strict policy NOT to open the area in the morning if FJ was down. There were a few days with some very upset hotel package guests, but FJ was running regularly for weeks before the grand open.

Those were some great times. I remember hanging out by Fire Eater's Grill for hours at a time on multiple days before they'd finally let people in. There were some serious local HP fans there on those days. The atmosphere was electric.

Yup, I used to live across the street so I would get there for rope drop every morning for about a month... Valet got very used to seeing me arrive and then leave a couple hours later ;-)
Can't wait to do it again for Diagon!
