Is there any kind of hint you can give us regarding what will make it special or unique compared to 3B? Are there going to be more practical effects or interactive elements inside? Is there wait service? Will there be a second or third level inside? Will they try to make the menu completely different from 3B?

I'm hoping there's something about it that will really amaze everyone. While I love everything about 3B, I think for Diagon Alley the restaurant will need to step it up and distinguish itself in some way.

Last Spring = Mid-June... I remember when the original WWoHP opened. Universal said spring, and people got mad because it opened in June. They tried to claim June wasn't spring... But its not summer until June 21st

It was such a smart move to build Cabana. Whatever money they made on the first WW is going to be quadrupled when they pack all the first Diagon guests into all the new hotel rooms. What a gravy train.

So, theoretically, when one train is moving, the other train is moving as well? Or can they easily disconnect them from each other and move independently.

If I remember correctly the H E works on the same principal as a ski lift one cable that loops around and while moving one train goes to the north station the other goes to the south station by way of sharing that cable. With that being said I don't believe it can be disconnected that easily. For installation purposes they would want to connect it to the cable in the bypass section of track. Forgive me if I am wrong but that is my understanding of the propulsion system.

Yeah, my question was more regarding this install. Whether or not they actually connected the trains to the cable. As I recall, and HTF help confirm this, is that there is an extension of the north station that is a maintenance bay. My thought is that perhaps the trains can self propel slowly into this bay. If the trains are connected then perhaps the cable loop extends all the way into the maintenance area... no no no... that cannot be. It would drive the south train through the wall and onto the ground.

Sorry for thinking out loud. I still await news of said service bay.

I haven't seen the engineering plans...but the MAXIMUM height it reaches is 18' I believe...but that's only at one point. It peaks in between Universal and IOA, with both stations slightly below this 18-feet maximum.
