Yep, since the morning after they got caught loading the RVs into the building.

FYI,

Gringotts RV's are NOT testing. There is a total of 4 cars or two complete RV's for those counting within the building right now. They have pulled a single RV through several sections within the attractions layout but have NOT even completed a full pull through. Again we are weeks away from testing the actual ride system.

Thanks for the info. That convicts with what I have heard, but your guys seem far more connected than my guys (understatement!). I have heard that there has been a complete pull through and some gravity testing. while not complete circuit cycling, complete round trip testing. So while I wouldn't call it full speed "cycling", the circuit is complete and RVs have made the complete cycle. At least that is what I have heard. But as I said, HTF's guys are VERY connected. Mine are concept guys that are not really involved at this stage of development.

This is pretty impressive. Who purposefully tests a ride system on location for 8 months? As I recall, the FJ ride vehicles were a somewhat similar test duration. Such discipline.

People who know they are pushing the boundaries of ride system technology and do not want another Test Track situation.

wasnt there a bunch of problems with FJ? Which delayed them even opening it at first? I remember that the actual section of the park opened for softs before the ride did. Possible they are making sure that doesnt happen again.

Dueling Dragons remained open and their was a point where they were escorting groups through a trench of walls within a rather finished looking Hogsmeade.

What IF:

Diagon Alley did not replace Jaws. What if it replaced Fear Factor and Men In Black?

... What do you think of that concept......

Not enough land, not cost effective, and wouldn't flow visually IMO.

It would mean that it would be replacing a bad show and a good ride...rather than just a mediocre ride and some carnival games..

It seems awfully late in the game for this discussion. Regardless, it wouldn't have worked nearly as well as the Jaws plot. But you do reintroduce the question about what IS going to replace Fear Factor live. Does anyone have any insight to that?

The largest Kuka arm ever utilized in a themepark will be within Gringotts. For what well that comes later...

I shouldn't have been...but I was stunned how good Diagon Alley looks, even during construction...especially from Springfield.

If the largest Kuka ever built for a theme park ride is for the dragon, do you think that that means the AA dragon will appear to be flying?

Well, if its not for a dragon or any other type of AA, will it "move" the car? Think like the turntable on Mummy but on a kuka arm. The car rolls up, it locks on to the platform attached to the arm and the arm moves around and places the car on another piece of track. It would allow them to get a range of motion that a normal roller coaster would not be able to achieve. The sheer weight of that seems impossible, but it would be crazy!

I am still wondering about the drop track. I read rumors that it would happen but I never saw anything confirmed. Has anything been confirmed about the drop track?
