Dancing With The Stars has been getting a lot of slack for continuing since they technically have writers. They’re set to premiere a week from today, it’ll be interesting if the cast drops out or if the show postponed.

As someone who was a Union President of an independent union for 18 years (1982 to 2000), it feels good to see so many in the USA back a union, and stand up for the working men & women. The Union movement in the world, over the years, has produced most of the benefits, wages, working and safety factors, that almost all workers, white and blue collar, enjoy today. Sadly, it had largely fallen out of favor after Reagan broke the Traffic Controllers. Good to see there's a resurgence among America's younger generation, bringing that support back.

Covid sped up a few things

Working from home and workers rights were two of those things and I'm here for. I hope it continues because a rising tide raises all ships

Covid had a bit of the Black Plague effect. Shortage of workers then, disbanded the Feudal system.

Be careful of statements like this, there's supposed to be a media blackout during negotiations (not that the AMPTP has cared). It could just be an attempt to make negotiations seem closer than they are, so that if someone backs out due to an unacceptable "final offer" they'll look unreasonable (and indeed, the "anonymous sources" are already saying that if there's no deal tomorrow, the strike lasts till the end of the year - obvious bulls***, but serves to pressure the WGA into accepting whatever the AMPTP puts in front of them tomorrow).

It's good that the CEOs are in the room, but it looked close a month ago too. Be hopeful but also be careful.

Yeah, I read this as a very deliberate leak from the studio side. Especially considering the source.
