Another random look at the transforming area of the park courtesy of Orlando Rocks.

They are building this so fast, that I haven't seen on piece of capped rebar for safety. What does it say on that dirty fabric?... looks like 'Lucy'.

Hard for OSHA to see them in the park.

Looks like Gambit has it right it to me. It looks like it says 2 cy .
It is a Steel Chute Hopper and maybe its a 3 Cubic Yarder and the red line in front of the 2 may be the estimate mark for 2 cu yds it also looks to have a wrecking ball inside of it as well. LOL
It usually goes on a fork lift or front end loader w/forks.

I've noticed that too. And if you've ever seen someone impaled on rebar you'd be praying they capped it and quick. Saw it happen in a waste water treatment facility when a guy fell off a ladder a mere 20 feet. Fortunately for him the reason he fell was a massive heart attack and he never felt a thing.

Thanks to you that clarified the cubic yard concrete bucket thing. I really appreciate your insight and pics.

Hoy! Just seeing that happen would have killed me from shock. I am a complete loser on a construction site. I once leaned way out to steady myself on a new basement wall and put one of the form steel pins right through my hand. And I was way grown up when I did that.

I've seen way too many guys die on the job. One of the places my company works is in a steel mill, and you don't tend to get hangnails in those places. Fortunately we haven't had an injury in a very long time. I just wish other companies that work around us could say the same.

I think it would be better if they demolished Monsters Cafe and used that area as 1/2 queue 1/2 gift shop or TF themed restaurant. I just like the entrance facing the main road and Rockit rather than the lagoon.

I seem to recall some conversation about Monster's Cafe being rethemed to a Transformers/Sci-Fi style restaurant. Though, I'm also a fan of Monster's Cafe.

How old is Monsters Cafe? Did it open with the park? The interior seems a bit dated in theming execution.

It didn't open with the park, I believe. Sometime around '91 or '92, if I recall correctly.

I was about to say something about Monsters getting converted several days ago, but decided not to. It will likely be selling Energon as well.

I've heard something similar with the frozen smoothie place out front also being turned into a Transformer theme drink stand that sells Energon.

Screamscape is reporting today that they are shooting at a Sept. 2013 opening. So I have heard June, Sept, and The Holidays 2013. I think the official word is ASAP with an opening NO LATER than Dec. 2013.

Well, what opens the week after HHN?

New Fantasyland?

A nice announcement of Transformers, FFL replacement, and an expanded Simpsons area for Summer 2013 would look really good then, huh?

I believe mid 90s it was two other restaurants before monsters. I'd have to check my maps when I get home from Atlanta.

I shall miss Monsters if it does go.....always loved the theming inside. That said, a shot of Energon would be a good energy boost I suppose
