So since we seemly have the chainsaw gang in The Purge....what happens to San Fran?

Just a side thought....does anybody feel like Uni is a bit lost in translation of what the streets are. One hand they keep calling it Street Experiences at other times they call it a scare-zone.

Feels like they are trying to erase the term "scarezone" from HHN, if they call it street experience it can go both ways and they don't get any angry costumers complaining about not having any real scarezones.

Spot on thinking Code. A Street Experience sounds like an upsell or a personally moment. Which I'll give them credit for in "Fall of Atlanta" zone last year.

I'm so pulling for better merch this year!

We definitely need better merch, the Jack vinyls were a step in the right direction but everything else is incredibly tacky. As much as some love the house shirts with that sticky red blood I don't think you'd ever catch me wearing one. Cooler designs universal I know you can do it

Hopefully they make the special collectors edition stuff a bit easier to find if it is going to be super low numbers (and maybe AP limited at first). I never once saw the Jack dogtags until someone had posted that they were all sold out.

I've always wished they made posters. I know I would buy one for every year I loved. (I mean big, movie size posters)
I would love one of the icons, of 2007, of 2009, etc.

I'd love that and more vinyls. But the shirts NEED an update more than anything , who the hell would wear these?

They did in 2006. I have one on my wall. They sold terribly and I paid $1 for mine.

I am sure most have seen it, but in the Horror Makeup Show atrium, there have a picture of every ticket for HHN. I would love if they created a poster that had those all of those tickets. Maybe that would be perfect for the 25th anniversary.

I agree the shirts have been terrible the past few years. Next year I bet they will go all out on icon merch. A Halloween shirt would sale well.

What a steal Jake! You know if they had a special 25th year poster they could charge whatever and people would buy it....wait I said that out loud. Don't listen to me Uni. Make it $4.99

It's almost as if creating new content and characters isn't always easy to market, but if done well, can create a powerful brand with a plethora of fans that will only grow and strengthen as it's nurtured...

Or we could just do Walking Dead again... (go on, I dare you, do the whole "HHN has never been better/they have to make $$$" argument...)

Well are the icons even that memorable without the backstory anyways? Watch the 2007 commercial and pretend this is the first time you've ever seen jack the clown. He's just a scary clown and nothing else, an attention grabber. Sure he's a marketable scary clown and way more interesting to look at then the other members of the fab five but he's not that cool. This is the perspective of your regular old Mary Sue horror nights attendee. Not saying icons aren't important or wanted but that's what they appear to be for almost everybody there

halloween events are always nicer with a icon up front. Even if they don't have a big presence in the event itself and it is made just for promotion, It is nice to have a main character as part of the event.

At least I think so, That's something that I like a lot about HOS, they keep trying to have icons. is kind of like the event has this leader. I don't know how to explain why I love the idea of having an Icon but it feels better.
it's like it ties everything together neatly advertising wise

Agreed..it adds a bit of meaning into the event..

The goopy red blood event shirts need to stop..I only wear my HHN shirt once a year because they are embarrassing and unnecessarily heavy because of the blood stuff..can we please go back to the days of simplicity..Small logo on front and houses on back?

You guys need to look up Singapore's event this year, completely original and IP free, it feels just like the old HHNs of old to be honest, and I'm SOOO envious right now of Singapore.

Their icon is the Minister of Evil, and dictator gone bad.

Coincidently I was looking at that same page earlier today, the Singapore HHN reminds me of the best days of our HHN. Also, I wonder if our doll maze may be similar to Singapore's HHN 2 concept ;)
