My ticket rep informed me that my AP expires on 10/7, so she did look me up.

Might of been the rep I had didn't know so they might be checking now. I had to give her my name, address, phone, and email three to four times cause it kept getting deleted she told me. I wish she just looked me up cause I told her I was definitely in their system. I wish they could integrate all their reservations/tickets/hotels to one system so I don't have to go through it every year.

Just booked my tickets for this. The rep had to book each person individually as if it were a table reservation (i received these by e-mail whilst still on the line with him), before then paying in full. It was his first time doing it but it went pretty smoothly! Knowing how much of a scaredycat my wife is, I only told her we were doing this once the money had already gone out of my account! Oops! :yikes:

I need your guys' opinion on something..

We have a group of 12 people going to HHN for one night in October and over half are flying down.

It seems like it wouldn't be worth it for us to do this because if we're only going to HHN for one night and it takes 90 minutes to do, there's no way we could get everything else done. What do you guys thing?

One thing I would definitely consider is how many people can be in a group for a single time. You could potentially be staggering out your group for a good chunk of the night. Other than that since I'm on the fence I'm no help.

I honestly feel it would be a waste of time and money for you guys for just one night. Put that money towards Express or an RIP tour for you all and have a more relaxed time, ensuring that you get to see all of the houses and some rides in between drinks ;) Large groups are also a nightmare for toilet breaks and needing food/rests at different times, you'll probably struggle to make the most of your regular attendance tickets anyway with the amount on offer.
Hope you guys have a blast either way! :)

Right, we would be in 3 equal groups (you go in groups of 4) so that wouldn't be that big of a problem.

We all already have express passes, but even with the same setup last year, we didn't get to see Jack's show; it was the only thing we missed. We also had a HHN newbie who kept breaking down in panic attacks occasionally that we'd have to wait for. Pretty funny, the biggest guy in our group - 6'7" ex-college swimmer guy is a HUGE wimp when going through the houses to the point of having anxiety attacks.

I think we might just have to skip the repository as a group this year. Good thing I'm going a few more times with my little brother before then

That is what I was worried about. If they only run a group or 2 at a time then it could be a couple hours of having to wait for the full group to get back together, ie first group reservation is at 8:00, second is at 8:30, and so on. I've been hearing 90 minutes total turnaround so that could be pretty tough to work around and pre-plan.

so I guess people with motion sickness or problems with vertigo should not even think about this at all?

I tried the 3D games at Disney quest and had some of the worst problems with nausea of my life... the Aladdin carpet made me the most sick Ive ever been in my life.

I Know this will be much more advanced and much more sophisticated... but still, it makes me wonder if people with vertigo problems will get sick from this

I get motion sick on quite a few simulators (I blame it all on going on that dreaded Body Wars when I was young) most notably Simpsons, DM, and FJ. Mind you it isn't debilitating but it definitely isn't comfortable. I have done a few VR experiences including the coaster one that was at the Orlando Science Center. I had 0 experiences of motion sickness. It sounds like this will also allow you to walk around with the VR set on meaning it would track and should also ensure that you don't experience any motion sickness.

I haven't had an opportunity to wear a vr headset yet. For anyone that has in here... How is it on the eyes as far as brightness goes? After wearing it, are there any noticeable effects to your vision (seeing spots, blurry vision, etc.)?

Brightness hasn't been an issue with any of them. The only problems I have experienced with the different types are
A) Screen Door Effect is kind of annoying, but I imagine this has gotten much better
B) Wires are terrifying
C) Running into things is always an option

Since I'm going on the first night in one of the first slots it's open, I'll probably tweet and post here about it. I love that you get to "solve" a mystery. Not looking forward to the heights thing though.

Absolutely not. Modern vr tracks you acurately meaning the sensory parts of the body are fooled as if it were real. If you still get sick you would prob get sick in real life too.

I'm fortunate enough to own an HTC Vive and I absolutely LOVE it, however anything even remotely horror related I find to be terrifying. This is coming from a person who loves horror films and HHN. Something about being that immersed and knowing that if you turn around something might be there just stresses me out! Although I would love to do this I'm only doing HHN for 2 nights and I'll be with 3 other friends so I highly doubt I'll get the chance. The $50 price tag is a little steep too. If you haven't had the chance to try any sort of VR (Occulus, Google Cardboard, Vive, etc) I'm sure this will be a frightening and substantial intro to it. :yikes:

I believe that's Sting Alley looking in from the lake side. Probably was a part of Legendary Truth last year.

The more I've thought on about this, the more I've thought about the physical necessity for the VR headset to have a lead attached whilst negotiating a physical set. Could actually be quite dangerous with 4 people in a scared state!
Im really curious to see how this is handled now.

You should be able to see the others in your group within the VR environment and interact with them just as you would in a traditional house. I don't really see how it would be an issue.
